Weak. But then again, I guess their hypocrisy knows no bounds.
McCain and Graham, outraged?? SURELY NOT!
"That one guy" nailed it however.
Years ago when I was training to work as an AOL rep, we were warned not to access celebrities accounts, because they could and were monitoring us and the accts left digital footprints from those that did access them.
Within 30 days, half my training class had been fired for doing exactly what they were warned not to do.
So how exactly does this work for the NSA again?
Hrm, This reminds me of the old saying "Don't piss on my back and tell me its raining".
I don't appreciate being lied to, especially in the interests of "national security", that just makes me think of that dumb ass movie of the same name, and is just about as brilliant.
Just stop, please stop the bald face lying, you're busted on it and continuing to lie about it just makes it worse. Oh wait, he's out at the end of this term, why should he care?
Wait, Diane wants to get rid of our guns, but is completely willing to arm people in other countries?
I think we're done here folks.
Also, I'd get fired wholly if I answered my bosses questions with "Well, it's classified".
Georgia(and their capitol, Atlanta) has the area code 404, which, in my bizarre mind equates out to Error 404 - Common sense not found.
Yeah, I see this happening. Good luck with that.
It's all well and good until the shoe is forced onto the other foot, eh? I'm sure the arm twisting by the white house must be epic at this point if they are truly running with this.
It must be nice to use your office (Office of the AG) to grandstand and just absolutely shit away tax dollars to promote your own agendas, private and public. Investigations should happen and people roundly fired along with being brought up on charges of abuse of a public office.
But hey, that would actually be something that serves the constituency, and we just can't have that.
Lemme guess, they're still using Lotus notes?
I think whats worse is that they honestly believe people are going to believe what they are saying, AKA they think their constituency is really that stupid and afraid of them there "t'errist".
Her & Saxby need a whole bag of clue biscuits force fed to them. Slingshot style.
The arguments coming from the people trying to defend the NSA are getting truly absurd.
I use FB sparingly and do not vomit up just and/or everything that comes up in my life or my head. Not everyone needs that kind of diatribe, well, except he NSA apparently.
NSA on the other hand has just raked in all my info, for no reason other than it feels it has some right to do so, regardless of the fact the most egregious thing I have done of late is getting a speeding ticket(several years back I might add, but I guess that warrants taking my info). Worse yet, they've passed laws that say they can, legally. WTF is that horseshit?
Quit trying to claim you're protecting everyone by killing our rights and obliterating our right to privacy, no matter how little we have it. More to the point, quit playing the "Terrorism" card, I think we've had enough of that already to be bluntly honest.
My take on them collecting all of this is to serve a s a data base on each person in the event they commit a crime, and then they can comb through everything as a bible on your communications to try and suss out what kind of person you are, if you had been planning something all along and how hard they throw the book at you. If you actually wind up committing a crime that is, and what worries me is what if you do something completely benign, but some asshole of a prosecutor decides he wants to go full tilt on you, say because you were attending something like an occupy rally yet all you did was get arrested cause you were there in a peaceful way.
Yeah, spin hard that and twist those words...
When all else fails, blame someone for your faults and shortcomings. Hayden apparently likes to think that everyone who is not him is stupid and/or gullible.
Hrm, imagine if you're a pizza delivery person who works in a not so great side of town and your tag gets flagged like 20-30 times a day for months on end. Police and other law enforcement agencies with access might consider this hard working person a criminal just cause their tag pops up at high intervals.
But you know later on(much later on) they would very quietly, if at, all admit they were wrong, but were doing the public bidding of following up on such a giant alleged criminal lead.
STFU Lindsey, you arrogant pissbag.
Ah yes, more dubious legislation to make it look like something is being done.
It's funny how the public/lawmakers seems to think the school, it's employee and governing rules set for by school districts should be the ones taking care of all these heads of lettuce causing the problems. Where did the blame on parents go for raising(or in this case, not raising) children properly.
Schools are centers for education and grooming social behaviors, but those behaviors are started and nurtured at home, and if the parents are not capable of governing a child properly, they might as well set loose a rabid pit bull on the public. Blanket statement it may be, but I have literally watch this behavior up close and personal(parent getting run over by a child)
You can set rules and laws to your hearts content concerning schools, funding ET AL, however, if children are not being educated in the home, whats the point?
My question? Why bother with a device that you have to do this to in the first place? I know it's somewhat off topic, however, I've never understood why people want to own something they have to go to all this trouble to use how they want when there are so many other choices that are just as good if not better than apple and it's "i" devices.
Yes it sucks that the developers are pulling this and should take a bowling ball to the face for it's arrogance, but, I'll stay with android simply because I can do what i want with it and not have some company telling me what I can and cannot do with something I own(or for that matter, dealing with some shit heel of a company pulling garbage like eidos has).
Wait, putt putt is still around? Go figger...
Setting it down and walking away from it...
There comes a point in time where you begin to alienate those you are looking to for support. Greed and the absolute need to govern every little thing is going to kill the business model they so fervently love(which is dying a slow agonizing death[for us]). I say let them strangle their own babies, at least it will teach them some sort of lesson.
