  So far all I have read is - it's too much work - and - we have to pay someone.
  
  What total unabashed short sighted fully blundered tosh.
  
  I peruse a number of one man shows. .. Er sites and most have two things going for them despite some having absolute dorks clogging their comment sections.
  
  They have content people like, they have an actual fan base that like them
  The second is where you get your core team of fan moderators.
  They cost nothing but a hello once in a while and the occasional feedback to the comments at large.
  
  People actually like volunteering for stuff they like or care about even if it is just a community of fans with nothing else in common.

  Re: School is more like a prison than an institution of learning.

  In certain parts of the states that may be true but here in Ontario they make well above average in pay and benefits as well as having a huge say in administration.
  
  We would love to bring in the hard working caring teachers if only we could dump the privaledged self important jerks we have now.
  
  I see way too many new luxury cars in school parking lots and whining on anything that could smack of accountability by the unions here.

  ..... is exclusive to the American market. Our diesel is not much removed from bunker sea crude in comparison to what is mandated as fuel oil in other parts of the world.

  The same reason that the only diesel they sell here.
  The American market wants gas power, horse power and acceleration like they are driving mosport.
  Look at a more competitive and regulated market like the EU and then ask yourself, while already knowing the answer, why things are different there.

  All pharmaceutical patents go to the state since the research was funded and overcharged to the taxpayer in the first place.
  
  Have the drug companies compete on price quality and support.
  
  That would kill a lot of the big pharmaceutical companies because they have outsourced all their manufacturing and laboratory support services thanks to FDA loosening regulations regarding subcontracting by big American pharmaceutical companies in the past decade or so.

  Pharmaceutical companies are in the business of manufacturing (sometimes) marketing and distribution of drugs that might be effective in treating a malady.
  
  None are in the business of cures since those affect the bottom line and the private islands in the caribean.

  Reading the statement from VWs CEO one can't help but wonder just how fast and loose the US aka north American office has been playing.
  They cut down consumers choices on what you can buy in the states and reduced that even further for the Canadian market.
  Try and import a US or even worse a European built model and see just how bad they will screw you.
  I have learned that if you can't get a good answer is to skip the (censored) US office and speak with the real head office. It will do wonders.

  All the international us manufacturers already use metric because they already sell in those markets.
  Outside of a tiny bunch of tiny throwback contries only the us avoids metric and this acts as a trade barrier.
