Discovery went to shit so I get all that sort of content from youtube, how do they intend to compete with the content creators of youtube for my time? I can watch a youtube video in 10 to 15 minutes, and I can do it on my phone in the bathroom.
So how do they hope to honestly get back someone like me as a customer? Because I remember growing up with discovery channel, before it went to shit.
So this isn't exactly true, there isn't a single player campaign, and even if you play in SOLO mode (IE no other players in your "instances" you still impact the game of other players via economics etc.
I understand why offline was dumped, they'd have to maintain and update a second client. Not only that it would mean they'd have to make public their entire procedural universe and simulation engine for their game. It has over 400 billion systems, this is a lot of systems.
I dunno what kinda processor overhead it would have for an offline mode but I can't imagine it would be particularly small at the very least it would be a reduced mode in terms of scope.
Ya it was a feature that was promise in the kickstarter, but I don't think it was dumped out of malice or even mismanagement. The most shrewd and "vile" reason I can ascribe is that Braben and CO don't want to let people poke or even examine and potentially copy their procedural galaxy simulation. If you've played Elite Dangerous its obvious that a lot of the games funding went towards this system. Its really very impressive.
That would require them not to employ an army of lawyers but instead a saavy marketing division and honestly if you're a pen company how much money do you spend on marketing?
I'd suggest we get together and possibly consider how to change our corrupt government but I'm afraid you might be an FBI plant trying to get me involved in some sort of plot so that I can be thrown in gitmo for the rest of my life. Sorry.
The sad fact is most of our government is made up of two kinds of people, Thugs in Suits, and Yes men. I've been rather furious at the state of the United States Government for ages, but I can't do anything about it other than wail with impotent fury.
You'd think trying to subvert someone into attacking their own country would be some sort of a crime. Also how does this not fall under entrapment rules?
I think that's nice and all that they are making money and doing it in an unusual (or slightly unusual way) by making their own merchandise but I'm really worried about people who would spend 100 pounds on a shirt some guy made the night before.
Also I don't really like their music, but I'm just not a big rap fan.
So I looked on wikipedia and it says disorderly conduct is
A typical definition of disorderly conduct defines the offense in these ways:
A person who recklessly, knowingly, or intentionally:
(1) engages in fighting or in tumultuous conduct;
(2) makes unreasonable noise and continues to do so after being asked to stop; or
(3) disrupts a lawful assembly of persons;
So are the cops actually guilty of disorderly conduct for arresting these people? It would seem to me they are disrupting a lawful assembly of persons.

So what does this mean for Microsoft points, and all those other stupid point system that so many video game publishers and F2P games use?
If someone could make a body disappear it would be a pair of Magicians, just saying.
Re:
Pretty much this, I just stopped buying their games the second they called all PC gamers thieves.
List of authors who
Anyone got a list of the authors who jumped on the 'omg piracy' bandwagon? I don't want to support them by buying their books.
Re:
Ya I was thinking the exact same thing, artists assume the input is good enough would love something like that. No need to drag around a drawing pad.
