I was not interested in this game, might of picked it up on sale or just got excited and buy for full price, but since it uses DRM rubbish, i will not. I boycott anyting that uses Denuvo because i dont want my money wasted on something that ruins modding, instead of adding content to the actual game.
I, personally, dont care about piracy, and it does nothing for my interests to burden me with some DRM crap.
No, the "black helicopters" meme is not based in reality, beyond "sometimes people see a helicopter painted black". The conspiracy theories surrounding them all involve a UN takeover of the US or some other crazy stuff that's never come close to happening.
I don't think there's any real indication that this is tied to a lack of robust copyright enforcement, however. In fact, endless extension of copyrights and overzealous enforcement are almost certainly making it harder for small artists, because it means our media landscape is dominated by a few big players with less room for original small-time artists.
A whistle blower would be someone who went to Congress, or the IG and said, "This sh^t aint right." Snowden is someone who took a sh^t ton of classified and gave it away to everyone. That's not whistleblowing, that's treason. Whisteblowers should be sheltered, but always get screwed anyway. A company called Kunversion uses a CRM system that will grab social media profiles based on name, phone number, emails and bring in your actual first and last name, current city, all social media accounts, etc. I'm sure hundreds of companies scrape data like this without the knowledge of the consumer.

The judgment could be recognized in California through constitutional analysis. This is pretty problematic, as a judgment in one state is usually recognized in another state. The attorney should have removed the case to California.
Still, the entire world provision is pretty broad. I can see this being appealed easily, as jurisdiction doesn't extend that far.
