  That does happen…and those people are running their car so as not to freeze to death. (Safe if the tail pipe isn’t blocked but it often is, or there’s a crack somewhere that’s not a problem when you’re moving). Of course in an electric car the battery would run out after some hours and you’d freeze anyway. There’s also the issue that once those cars run out of power, if the majority are electric, you’re basically going to have to tow each one individually, could take weeks. It just doesn’t work.

  Electric cars don’t work very well, sorry. They’re expensive, toxic (chemically) and not even as low emission as you think. Fast charging is mostly a myth and their range sucks, and batteries are notoriously hard to improve upon. Even their raw power consumption would only ever make sense if we moved to nuclear power. If you think electric cars are the future, you don’t understand physics very well. Ironically that’s one of the things I dislike about Musk….he’s been surfing a fad (and subsidies) he knows is temporary.

  I’ve been reading this site for a decade and have seem Mike call out stupid shit from BOTH sides consistently.

  I've been reading it for 20 years or so (well, I stopped, cuz Masnick went so far Left). I can only assume you are also very liberal therefore he looks more moderate to you. Regardless, he really only uses the angry, derisive emotionally charged language on Republicans. Like most liberals, it's gotten a lot more vitriolic since 2016. He's a little more economically literate than AOC (not a lot) but he has basically the same spot on the political spectrum.

I mostly do, there would be some legal penalties if he lied in an egregious way, but I also said "appears to be" for a reason. You are NEVER actually asking for a citation. In this this case the citation is just the statement of some guy, granted (you do not however have any reason to suspect those are lies despite your claims).
