    No they didn't, cuz that's not how that works. First off you're just wrong, Musk is NOT a "government official", he's a government contractor, making this entire article pointless. Government officials need to be either explicitly named by statue or by congressional confirmation, as per the appointments clause (no really it's a whole thing, it's why the Smith FL case got thrown out) so he definitely isn't that. He's a contractor with a security clearance. This illustrates, again, you know nothing about the law nor constitution. Secondly, government officials (again, absolutely in NO WAY is that) can act in private capacity, and yes he was absolutely acting in his private capacity as a owner of Twitter, not part of government. But mostly he is no way a government official and cannot be as per the constitution, you godd@mened m0r0n.

    Musk has the security clearances required, and was asked to do this work by the President of the United States. It's about as "authorized" as you can get. It's not "illegal" just because you dislike it.

    It is both those things, actually. They HAVE security clearances (because Trump gave them clearances). They have authorization to do this.     No idea about Netchoice but in the Murthy case it very much didn't. In fact MM lied about it at the time. Literally all SCOTUS did was determine the states didn't have standing. But election fraud is a real thing, it's in fact a real thing EVERY year (provably, in court, the only question is the magnitude), 2020 notably had several swing states break their own laws or turn off various certifications for election security, and oh, GA just found they scanned 3000 ballots twice. Keep in mind the whole election was only decided by about 40,000 votes total. But sure, keep gaslighting about things no conservative even talks about.
