good god, you are on a roll. another logical and frank discussion.
But you are wrong.
you are taking ie traffic including all versions. the latest, ie 8, is barely at 25%. ie# is at 60%, but not the majority are the latest version.
but yea, other than that, great argument. see, its awesome being not hated isn't it?
agree.
the thing is, the people who might switch to test it don't because of any number of reasons, but are quiet about it. the people who scream linux is useless and scary and bad either have used it and been burned or don't know what the hell they are talking about. sometimes even both. Really, people just need to chill. If i or anyone else wants to us linux, leave us alone. You don't see me posting anywhere in here saying you shouldn't use windows, I just don't.
Lets agree to disagree. there is enough room in the world for both of us to have our own different OS without having to act like children.
I run ad block plus on firefox 100% of the time. It isn't out of any "destroy the man" kinda thing, i just don't like ads and find them distracting and annoying. I would block other ads the same way as web ads if an automatic way of doing so came to TV, radio and life in general. As it is, i just try my best to ignore all other ads as much as possible, including not buying anything i see an ad for.
i haven't switched to chrome because their ad blocking extensions are not up to Ad block plus on firefox yet. I will probably switch once a good, high quality ad blocking extension gets added.
that is the most rational thing i have read from you yet, even if i disagree with you somewhat. thank you for adding to the argument logically.
in this case figuratively and literally!
...
i have a new business proposal! add your products as a bonus with hotcakes. Then you'd be rolling in the dough. (pun completely intended)
so i can put a ton of random words in a story and then sue everyone who uses any of those words in a product or company name? awesome.
i would be a netflix user, but they decided that linux support was "beneath" them.
i work in healthcare, and have to say, CPT codes SUCK.
There are literally about a hundred for "bleeding out of left arm." I am not kidding.
I wasn't aware that the AMA had a copyright on them. I am not even sure how they would recieve money on this. our doctors have memorized the codes they need and we have a file on our EMR server that can translate CPT codes into things for the database, but we made that list from scratch with a dr telling us what it meant. Now, they may have had to buy the list of CPT codes in med school, but i don't think our business had to buy one directly.
that's how all of us learns stuff.
Go with ubuntu and screw stuff up. makes life more interesting. :)
chill, cc.
he/she isn't all that bright, and you just seem to be getting angrier. Try take a few calming breathes, maybe stand up and stretch. I'm told green tea can be calming, as well.
he's oddly silent. must have been pissed at how bad mw2 was borked by activision too.
you know, you have a really annoying way of replying to people. you know you can talk like a regular person and not an asshole.
i use Arch linux. all the fun of gentoo, without the 24+ hours install times.
you need to fast forward again. a year changes alot.
im pretty sure if you talk to the right idiots, err, lawyers, they would say all speech and thought and everything is infringing and you owe them lots of money.
i think avira is good. and of course there is clamav.
i agree with cc, do you really have any idea what we are talking about?
Re: Ad disabled when warranted
the problem i have with that is this:
i will never click an add. And i have never (intentionally) clicked one. Unblocking it for one site just so i can see the ad i won't click is dumb. i prefer supporting a site directly as seen by the fact that i am an insider to techdirt. (or will be if i haven't claimed this comment when you read it.)
