an interesting take. It is possible, makes you kinda wish they would have thrown more red tape around the nuke, huh? I think we may have gotten a little too happy with that one. Thankfully, most people realized quite quickly that nukes aren't to be used (at all if possible).
But red tape can also just be Gov't trying to cut themselves in so they can tax innovations more.

at first. if it gains share, then it will become hardware decoded too. i think even theora has one or two pieces of hardware in the wild that can decode it. of course, h.264 has many, many more.

i don't like my neighbors enough to do this at my apt. complex. besides, with comcast threating to drop people who go over 250GB, i would be hard pressed to offer free bandwidth to the grannies in my complex. you never know, i may have granny-pirates as neighbors.
