I was going to ask where you stand on Copyright/Patent/Trademark reform but I se you just puked the evidence all over the floor!
I'm loving the fact that the Republicans had it blotted from history, one more nail in their coffin as they alienate even more people who may actually have voted for them.
I don't think he's a slimeball...
He's big, he's brash, he lives in NZ yet isn't a Kiwi, he owns a flash mansion, has (had?) 14 luxury cars and flies everywhere by first class or privately owned helicopter, he has (had?) loads of cash. So he's an easy target.
Hopefully Apple have dug themselves into a hole with all teh patent lawsuits they have brought in the last 2 years... I don't wish Apple any harm just wish they'd compete in the market place rather than in the court room. This settlement, if it sees the light of day, may be the beginning of the end... *crosses fingers*
Something smells wrong!
Over at one of the RA pages someone called KiwiGirl makes the mistake that a hike in revenue to GEMA = More money going to the artists!
"High tariffs for the clubs is obviously no fun, but if it results in more money going to the right place (i.e. musicians as well as club owners & promoters) then surely this is a good thing?"

Naive fool!
Cool... just wait till after Feb and watch the TLC bring out it's own version... of course Laws will be changed to ensure than any new actor in the scene will have to pay a "license" and that TLC will collect said license and ensure that it is paid to the welfare fund of cabbies to ensure that their great grandchildren can benefit from a 5 minutes fare driven in March 2013 that cost $10.
They also knew that it wouldn't matter if they were forced to block the sites as a monkey with a mouse could still get to them from within the UK!
No history teaches us that tech companies go out of their way to show the legacy companies how they can use tech to make even more money than they already are... ever heard of video tape? MP3 players?
Most probably a combination of both!
You're showing logic to OOTB... best not to, it gets him all confuzzled!
I blame the moonshine he brews on the stoop of his mountain shack!
UK Citizen checking in!
BT Broadband Subscriber checking in!
Able to access all sites currently listed as blocked by the High Court ruling.... Yes Sir!
DEA effective... No Sir!
Meanwhile a celebrity who made his ex-partners life hell and subjected her to all manner of violent harrassment was sentenced to 140 hours community service, if he had done so via social networking sites he probably would be heading to prison!

"Lots of companies that start out innovative and open, do later change and flip sides on things like this"...
mmm like Apple?
Ninja mate give up, if this moron had his way parts of the US would still have special seats on buses for people who just happened to have different colour skin!
Mr Moron, Laws only work when the majority agree with them and see a benefit in them.
But But... after one month the NZ FACT team have proved beyond doubt that the 3 strikes law has HALVED copyright infringement in New Zealand!
So which is it? Does it takes months even years or does it take just over 5 weeks to see if the "shift" is really happening?
Maybe everyone downloaded more in August because they knew that in September their Government was going to try and prop up parts of the Entertainment Industries with daft laws that cannot be proven to benefit society as a whole?
Ahhhh... the old "lets just get rid of all laws because this particular law isn't embraced by a percentage of the population" routine! Wicked!
Laws only work when the majority of the population support them and feel a benefit in having them, when that support drops to a significant level the laws become unworkable and eventually unenforcable... which is where we are heading with Copyright.
Please do not conflate Rape/Murder with Copyright, it just makes youy look daft.
I know... I got so excited I had to knock one out in the toilets!
You couldn't make this stuff up!
Forgot to say that the time is Eastern Standard Time and it doesn't matter what time zone you are in.... and that the "consumption zone" must be soundproofed and you can't use egg boxes.
But... but... shiny plastic discs!
It's like they think we are all from Middle Earth and CD's are akin to "The Ring"....
"Gollum wants RiRi CD, my precious!"
