  elected "Der Fuhrer"? Do the cops in that town now use the Nazi salute and wear hobnailed boots? Swastika armbands? Instead of Ar-15s they should be carrying MP-40 Schmeissers. I'd hate to be Jewish in that town.

  Congress doesn't dare..

  to block the bill; they don't want the spooks after them. Besides, blocking the bill would label them soft on terrorism, which no one wants. It doesn't really matter whether the bill is passed or not anyway; the spooks will continue to do as they please - they know that the worst that can happen if they are caught is they get a slap on the wrist.

  Cops firmly believe..

  that they are above the law. They talk big about "if you haven't done anything you have nothing to worry about". but when the tables are turned they don't agree.
  
  Even the cops in Boston still go after people who dare to film them, despite the huge lawsuit loss.
  
  I would not dare to point a videocamera or phone at a cop - I want to stay out of jail and don't want to be thrown down, beaten, and tased.
  
  Trusting a cop is like trusting a politician.

  Illinois cops

  don't want to be accountable; they want to be able to do whatever they want. Beating innocent citizens is considered a perk to Chicago cops. In the big cities, the cops encounter so many violent criminals that they soon presume everyone is a potential violent criminal, as if a little old lady with a cane and shopping bag is going to whip out a Uzi and start blasting away.

  Big city cops

  think nothing of beating anyone for any reason. To most city cops, anyone pointing a video recording device is as dangerous and threatening as a .357 magnum.
  
  Huge odds are that the cameras will "malfunction" EVERY time that a citizen gets beaten.

  Have google remove all links to German sites. The news sites presume people will still go to them without google. let them find out.

  In the U.S.

  The DOJ is pretty much owned by the entertainment industry and they use the enormous resources of the DOJ to go after this crap. Never mind drug smugglers, terrorists, or the mob; go after the real problems: kiddies with laptops.

  if patent examiners get any "gifts" to approve patents? considering that you can bribe virtually anyone in the government, including the SCOTUS, why not patent examiners as well?

  Why is anyone surprised?

  The DOJ routinely spies on anyone they feel like it and in any way they choose to. The Constitution and federal laws mean nothing to the DOJ. No judge would dare to call them to account; the judge would disappear quickly.

  Smart people..

  simply avoid Illinois and Chicago in particular. The cops are more of a danger than the muggers, robbers, drug dealers, and pimps.
  
  Chicago is a lovely city, great food, great museums, and probably the most corrupt city in the country. I'd never go there again.

  Just like the rest...

  It's typical for the big city cops to arrest anyone they want to. They do it in Boston too; it's nothing unusual to see the cops arrest someone videotaping them. The city lost a lawsuit about this, but they still do it; the cops believe they are above the law.

  East Texas again...

  The judges and juries must get a lot of money from the trolls. Does anyone ever pay attention to laws about bribing judges and juries? I'm picturing unemployed jury members suddenly driving fancy new SUVs, and judges taking vacations to Bali.
  
  The patent system is broken and East Texas is the absolute best place in the world for patent trolls. Has there ever been a patent troll who lost a case in East Texas? I doubt it. Going to East Texas guarantees a win.

  This is the biggest

  problem with eBooks, especially Amazon and Kindle; your books can be taken away on the whim of some computer. I love the eBooks, but I'd never buy a Kindle. I only buy books that are cheap or borrow library books. If it's an important book, I buy hardback. Amazon is going to have a very hard time getting a hardback book back unless they want to argue with 95 pounds of aggressive territorial dog plus a 9mm Glock. Amazon's response shows how little they care about customers

  Smart scientists...

  will stop making predictions. And if they HAD predicted an earthquake and nothing had happened, they would have been prosecuted for causing panic and possible manslaughter if anyone had been killed in the baseless panic. Glad I'm not a scientist predicting anything.

  they hide

  the true amounts so they don't have to pay the actors a percentage and also so they can moan to Congress how much "piracy" is destroying the industry. They are a racket, just as much as the mob, but not as evil.
