A few years ago I used some P2P application to share some of my own artwork. I misconfigured the thing and it was sharing the wrong folder. A week later I got a notice from my ISP asking me to remove a file from my shared folder. Thanks to them I was made aware of my mistake and corrected it right away. Should I have been charged and reemed for unintentional distribution?
Howmany people actually call Netflix? I have never had to call them. I just use their website. It's pretty easy. I don't really see a vlaid reason for needing to speak to someone other than maybe trying to cancel your service and trying to get the balance of your monthly fee back.
I recently went back to Netflix and have been a little upset with the service. In almost every 3rd rental I make one of the DVDs come to me either scratched really badly or broken. Netflix does rush a replacememnt copy to me but the fact that I have been getting this many damaged DVDs bugs me.
Broadband over powerlines would solve the issue of peopel in the stix not being able to get boradband. If you get power you can have broadband. I wonder howmuch cheaper it would be to push this out over a fullscale upgrade of telco and cable services.
You are quite right. I used to work for Time Warner Cable and when we pushed out VOD(Video On Demand) we were slammed with calls from customers who were getting what pretty much was a busy signal. The VOD servers were not capable of serving the entrie customer base at once. We will see the same thing with the internet if it is abused in this way as it is today. The internet is already clogged as it is. Pushing video to it on a large scale as this would cripple it. Before we can do this there needs to be a mass upgrade of the internet hardware. It's old equipment and we never intended to serve the amount of data we want it to serve.
Sorry but no. These laws will never pass. These politicians are just going through the motions to earn political points. Even a blind person could see that.
Please show us where the US stole the resources. I get so tired of bullshit liek this.
Are they? Chances are they are at the same level as other US students. Behind students in other developed countries.
Next saying the lord's name in vein will be illegal. MY GOD!!!! ;-P
Too bad there is no theft involved. It's simply copyright infringment.
The next 911 level attack in the US will not happen while Bush is in office. I love how you blame talk radio for the shortcomings of the American public. In the end we only have ourselvs to blame and no one else.
Sorry but the employees should face jail time for this PLUS the IT department should be fired and replaced by a more competant team. Where I work we do not give users other than admin users the rights to install anything on their systems.
I seriously would liek to try and see wht my 8800GTX can do uner linux with open source drivers. nVidia has screwed teh pooch royally so far with their drivers. I spend $600 on a video card only to have them turn me into a beta tester. WTF?!
Nice. I speak the truth and you basicly call me a windows/MS fanboy. None of what you said changes the truth of what I said earlier. Linux is not for teh Average user. They will need a Linux-head type like you to get it running liek they want it. It's not quite as easy as you make it out to be. I have played with Linux for a few years now. I'm not just talking out of my ass.
Darn it since you called me a joke I must be wrong. Emulation still is a joke. Do you want some cheese? I'd love to see you try to run a DX10 game using that. LOL!!!
I don't now... Based on an interview I read they claim the next OS will be another major release not an incremental update to Vista. If this is true then we are in for a repeat of this. Should be fun. :(
I'd like blue and red eggs please!
WTF?!
So I guess MS isn't allowed to try and protect it's software from pirates but everyone else is. YOu people are stupid. If you hate MS so much stop using their software and STFU. I get soo tired of all the anti-Microsoft BS peopel spew.
