Advocates of opensource applications always seem to ignore why the commercial alternatives to opensource are usually chosen instead. I handled the purchasing for my company's IT needs. We often looked at opensource applications and compared them to the commercial offerings. Almost w/o fail the commercial offering was more robust and had much better customer support. When you are responsible for the smooth running of your company you do not gamble on half-baked applications to get the job done.
The only people who feel the government should regulate the internet are the ones who don't know what the internet really is. I still run into people who don't knwo the internet is global and not owned by the US.
Dude you are clueless. No artist is forced to do anything. They are free to accept or decline these contracts. The problem is that they want to be ric more than they care about being rapped by the record industry. I have no sympathy for a group of idiots who do not know how to negotiate a better deal. The artists are 100% to blame for accepting these contracts for so long. There are 2 people in these deals and the contract can't go if one of the two doesn't agree.
He's upset that he was too stupid to know that the GTA games tend to make big bucks? Sorry but he deserves nothing more and nothing less than what was stipulated in the contract he negotiated. I am getting damned tired of actors and writers feeling entitled to more than what they agreed to just because the company that PAID them for their work uses the finished product to make a shi t load of cash. I hope this greedy asshat gets blacklisted in the game industry for this move.
Oh come on. The IP address belongs to the ISP. The peopel who OWN the network. You are just paying for access to their network. And since most ISP's assign people dynamic IP addresses it's pretty pointless. The EU is pretty silly in what it thinks it can control and legislate. There is a very good reason why the EU is often described as the new USSR.
The problem is that the guy is pretending he'd leave if he could when in reality he most likely wouldn't leave no matter how much money he had. ebert is only offering help him put his money where his mouth is. your reading comprehension isn't what it should be from the sound of it.
You forgetting about your righ to deffend yourself? I feel you are a threat I have a right to take action to keep you from harming me or mine. That right goes right through someone's nose, genetals, and any other legit target to disable someone.
I remember when it was OK for the school to take a wooden padle to your behind. I also remember when parents accepted the truth about their bad kids and support the schools and teachers. We have castrated the schools and teachers yet we expect them to deal with kids and enforce dicipline. It's a joke.
If you like Army Of Darkness then you gotta love DN3D. The humor is the same and the game play was fun. Oh I see. You are Anonymous Coward. This must be why you didn't understand the game. Duke Nukem and Ash must be related by blood.
Nothing wrong with your reation and position. If we were looking for evidence of congress being bught off this is it. They aren't even trying to hide the strings this time. They should all be fired. Gov is supposed to look out for the people not business.
Mocking School Officials After Hours
This shoud be pretty cut and dry. The schools have no place punishing behavior off school grounds. If they have a roblem let the parents deal with it.
Opensource good?

Computer manufacturers should be held accountable for the action of hackers and virus writers since they can't do such things w/o a computer.

Re: Re: Back in the day...
I have to agree. Some kids do not understand you until you speak to them with your hands.
Re: Re: Back in the day...
Hey genius, there is no expectation of privacy in public places. Schools and such are public. When will people finally understand this?
Re: not right
Huh? The banning of cellphones is "Orwellian?" WTF are you on?
