I've read most of the comments and have a question. I get the inherent conflict of using prior art to train the AI. But at the moment, the AI can't produce an actual oil painting, just digital works, is that right?
If true, other than being able to create (and assuming print?) a digital piece of art, I can't buy an original painting, right? If there is no original work do these AI similar styles have any effect on the value of an original artists work?
