  I knew back when the DMCA was passed in '98 that it was a BAD law, and time has just proven that true. All benefits to the copyright holders and no consequences for takedown notices for stuff they don't actually hold copyright on.
  
  And every year it seems it just keeps getting better and better.

  Really disappointed w/ Cruz

  I actually agree with him on some issues (Obamacare and immigration to name a couple) but he's really screwing the pooch on this one. The ISP's have demonstrated that they will f**k with the internet to no end if it means more $$$ for them, and they need to be reined in or the internet as we've come to know it will cease to exist.
  
  Really really disappointed.

  I sincerely hope this woman gets a sizeable legal settlement, not just from the CHP but also from the pig involved and his superiors as well. I also hope the pig and his bosses are fired and their pensions are given to this woman.

  Lexmark tried this same crap with their ink cartridges.

  And to this day I have never bought, nor will I ever buy, a Lexmark printer. HP, Xerox, anybody except Lexmark.

  Trouble is, the US govt has not yet learned that especially after the Snowden leaks, they can not get away with hypocrisy as a foreign policy any more. Their credibility is completely shot at this point.
