It's a lot more like a guy walking into a bank, telling them there is a hole in the wall leading directly from outside into the vault, and being arrested for breaking into the bank.
(Copyright is not equal to theft, so both analogies break down obviously)
I have managed not to buy a single textbook from my University in several years. I just take my book list when it's released and search the ISBNs online. I usually save at least $200 on a full semester. And even if I keep them rather than selling them back, I come out ahead of those that bought from the campus bookstore.
I agree that people get overly-offended by team names in general, but Blackhawks and Seminoles are specific tribe names and Braves are warriors. "Redskin" is just an old, general expression for all Native Americans that is considered insensitive. Like how lots of old people use "coloreds."
I admit, I don't know much about him or even the Nobel Peace Prize, but anything that causes oppressive governments to spend more effort censoring media (thereby calling attention to themselves) has to be a good thing. Hopefully this will draw more negative attention.
I always pronounced it ass-cap in my head, as a joke, while always thinking it was spelled out, like NAACP. Looks like I was a lot closer than I thought.
I decided to finally register an account just to make this exact point.
The only thing I would change is that in the analogy, Goldman is trying to sell his 'vette, and you sharing the pictures and location info would actually help him do that.

80% seems highly unlikely. Is there a citation for that number?

Re: This is a line right out of a movie...
Sounds Christmas Vacation-y to me.
Re: About that character model...
Sounds like xkcd.

Re: Re:
It took me a few seconds to register what I was looking at. It was actually the unusually shiny eyes that did it.
The first time it quickly shifted expressions made me jump a bit. Definitely creepy.
High speed robotics ftw
That cellphone tossing in the third video is probably the coolest thing I've ever seen.

Will the guy's attorney be allowed to discuss jury nullification in the courthouse as part of the defense?

I read that to be "...others would(comma) and would kill Hulu."
Re: Re: This is awesome
That's the point. By going all out to censor the internet, they called attention to the censorship as well as the censored info itself.
This is awesome

As-cap
I always pronounced it ass-cap in my head, as a joke, while always thinking it was spelled out, like NAACP. Looks like I was a lot closer than I thought.
