Talk about jumping to assumptions. My belief is quite clear and far from corporate. My record of support for socialised capitalism is well documented. I just don’t believe in the progressive pushed tax plans. The never work in reality. Every time you raise a company’s costs, they raise prices. Period. Fact. Every plan to tax (fictitious) “stored” wealth would decimate the majority of the country’s families. One need only look at nearly every major city (nearly completely Dem controlled) to see the policies don’t work. The republicans aren’t right either. But they tend to be less destructive to 90% of the population in the last 50 years.

I wish you had a heart.
Mine may not bleed for every minimal gotcha on the planet. But yours stops beating the moment it’s someone you disagree with. There is no logical reason for this filthy obscene payout. No, o don’t believe in punitive increases. There’s no fairness in that. The law must be fair. Or did you forget he didn’t say ‘go harass and threaten’. Anyone who does anything to these women is fully and completely responsible for their own actions. And you totally miss my point with your sand hook reply! Move away from the spot you are at and the majority of people will never know who you are if you put your name and former address on paper. Honestly, I’m not sure without looking it up where sandy hook is. Let alone what any of those people looked like. Nor would I ever pick these two out of a crowd. That’s the reality for the majority of people.

car manufacturers and tractor manufacturers to provide sufficient information to allow users to repair their own devices
You have no right to software. You (should) have the right to replace the part with the same or an alternative of your choosing but you (should never) have the right to modify proprietary software without the controllers express permission.

    It’s giving access to
Proprietary code that nobody has a right to unless the company decides to grant access. Period. If you didn’t write it and the writer or licensors didn’t grant you access you have no right to it and the government has no legal standing. Assuming Cali-wannabe pulls a me too watch the Supreme Court bash them over the head with it. This is more of a nanny state wasting tax money that has actual real uses. Like the homeless citizens and the ignored veterans, the poor. Instead watch this cause a quick tax increase somewhere when the state winds up defending it… Assuming there’s enough people to pass this nonsense. Let me reiterate, bad actors wouldn’t need to be cut off if the state didn’t try to force companies to turn over proprietary code that was paid for by the company, worked on by the company, and maintained by the company. Show me where, anywhere in federal law history, where a state has a rights to unilaterally change restrictions of private code by a private company. Oh, and stereotypes don’t exist from nowhere (a funny film that was too). You didn’t deny it. Only true communists and FOSS diehards would support ripping away control of corporate works from the company that created it.

Maybe if people spent time reading what they sign and agree too, there’d be lest (you caused it yourself idiot) hate.

Just like how you have defended people who invaded the Capitol
Unlike your conspiracies I recognise the reality of what happened that day. A very small group of people violated the law, by breaking into the capital. Every one of them has been and should be punished to the full extent of the law. The vast majority of the crowd was peaceful protesters.
Which is why people are asking why no other property owner was targeted that had signs that also were “excessive
I see one that probably breaks the law out of the two examples given. As I clearly stated, Unless some aspect of the law protects signs off of the main landing area, it should come down. The large trump sign, as far as I can tell, is not in violation of the basics of how such laws are often worded (without reading this law). If it is, let it fall. Bring it down!
the porch has an Ukrainian flag on it
I actually missed that. There’s a big fucking “fuck” billboard that grabs your attention. I mistook it for a mikes hard umbrella. Oops And no, I made clear that Russia war protecting a minority group of native Russians within the current borders of Ukraine that were well known to international news as having been targeted with violence and forced disappearances for years. I made it clear that Ukraine’s government caused this themselves. I made it clear Russia is now an aggressor and not a liberator. And I made it clear that it is, NOT OUR WAR!!!!!

You can build a nuke proof house for $5 million. Aren’t you the one that hates the “filthy rich”? Because these two people just joined that group. I highly doubt anyone would notice who they are if they simply moved, an extra $5 million would allow that as well. Having a heart doesn’t necessitate grand theft. And that is exactly what this ruling is.

Take it your a FOSS Linux fan and not a freedom to do as thy wilt BSD/Unix user. Private APIs should never be forced to be given away. Never. A commercial company that creates commercial proprietary code should absolutely never be forced to hand over access to competitors. Bad actors shouldn’t need to be cut off because there is zero reason to force a company to hand over internal access for any reason in the first place.

Donkeyshit, you call it “moderation” but it’s the same fucking shit.
Private censorship IS free speech. By removing or blocking content they make their opinion known. Hence a projection of expression.

The hack wasn’t the company’s fault. The firewall software they use was penetrated. Comcast was one of many that used that software and one of many hacked just before the patch fixed the hole.

This has to be a sick joke. Mandatory access to private proprietary APIs? I see no malicious actors jumping in that.

  • Pettiness Personified: Tesla Removes Disney+ From Vehicles Because Elon’s Mad At Disney

    It’s still private

It’s a private platform: Tesla There is no guarantee any app will be available for any period of time. Oh well. Given how many reports there are of $10.000 plus repairs day one and two that the company won’t cover under warranty, loosing an app you really have no right to expect in the first place, other than it being there and then not, is the least of the owner’s issues.

    Easy fix

require the opt in consent of consumers.
Opt out would be better for my view, but ignorant stupid people fail to read what they agree to so the nanny state steps in to step on smart people, er, protect the stupid. As long as they don’t restrict the ability to agree to targeted advertising that helps me support companies I utilise; I’m all for protecting the stupid idiots from being more stupid.

    Obscene

The amount awarded is extreme and obscene. There needs to be fairness in these types of rulings. This is no different than nonsense copyright judgements. Especially since there’s no evidence they did not intentionally interfere with the election any more than evidence they did. This is more money then they would have made living a normal life. This goes far beyond any rational fair payment.

    LostInLoDOS ( profile ), 22 Dec, 2023 @ 04:31pm

It is. It’s directly facing the street. It is way beyond the regulation dimensions. It’s a gross violation. (Gross meaning extreme). The question on the others is where they are located based on the regulation’s wording. from what little there is posted, the second should probably come down as well. I can see it clearly and it’s too large. We can argue about the third sign (if it’s a sign and not physical real estate, I can’t tell). But the view of the photo makes it look well inside the visual blockage of the property, gi, obstructed.

coming to the conclusion the sign did not violate city statutes
Cops often do not know the laws they are supposed to be enforcing, techdirt is full of articles on that issue.
    Now look at the 2nd
The second one should probably also come down. Though being on an interior fence may not qualify as an outward projection. The third is clearly not directly facing the street. Without reading the full regulation I can’t comment on it.

Someone abides by the law and demands others do. The law is quite clear on sign size. This is beyond excessive over the law.
