gatemastergate: the story of finding a transdimensional being living in my fridge caliming he is the gatemaster... or something like that
I wish I had the power to rule on criminal activities, and have my position be affirmed by myself, therefore voiding any loaw I may have broken.
"No officer, I do not think I was speeding, you got it wrong." ::loks left, looks right:: "Upon further review your complaints are noted, but I reaffirm the prior judgment stating I was not speeding. If you continue to interfere with me getting home I will fine you approximately 20,000$ an hour for the delay(s) you have given me"
So they label and advertise their water as having 0 calories/additives/etc, and want to claim that it's special? It's like root beer advertising it has 0 caffeine (normally root beer has no caffeine, unless added on purpose)...
the government will regulate how sites work, but will totally ignore what should be better regulated ::cough:: ::cough:: ISPs ::cough:: ::cough::
Compared to someone setting off a breifcased sized nuke in New York city, random stop and checks by the PD isn't a big issue.
Compared to a North Korean style dictorship blended with with some Stalin-esque purges, summarily executing the random politician isn't that big of an issue
It's the government's new game, sounds fun... See how many you can come up with!
I have 3 internets at my houses. Ones is for the facebook, ones is for mys emails (lets say gmail), and ones is for netflix. Is got great dealses on all 3 I only pay 3/4 of my monthly salaries a weeks!
That is what the future could turn out to be... oh my.
Concerned that its sprawling reach and 100-mile, border-encompassing "Constitution-Free Zone" aren't protective enough
Constitution-Free Zone? You mean the US constitution doesn't apply withing these borders? I thought something had changed since I last went there...
well it was either that or he wins a free aerodynamics improving bullet holes and un-marked grave.
Here's the deal they'll offer as a settlement:
"You're right, we shouldn't have done that. Here take this deal and you'll win a stay at an all expense paid vacation at one of our best state-run relaxation/vacation facilites. You get to stay there for the rest of your life. Included in this package are 3 meals a day, some TV channels, an excercise room, a nice bed, a freindly* roommate, and much much more"
*freindliness not garaunteed
people attempt to sell all kinds of stupid things on Facebook. I have personally people asking to buy/selling beer, contraband (native) cigerettes, and lastly weed.
"You wouldn't download a toaster"
...actually if I had a 3D printer and the need for a new toaster I might...
This. This would be quite nice, and actually fit the definition of flexible, AND not look like a duck either.
"Police say when they approached Morris Friday, he gave a false name and spit in an officer's face."
I can't tell the exact timing based on that one line, but all I can think of is the officers coming up to him, buddy saying "No, I'm not Jesean Morris, I'm Bob Belcher ::spiting noise::". I dount that would help his case
I swear officer, it's not a handgun! It's a compact sub-sonic metal projectile delivery system!
Quite a clever way to get around restrictions, claim it isn't what it is and give it a fun new name.
also have a trigger from events where weapon is drawn as mentioned above, save all footage during the time the weapon is drawn at the 30-60FPS
Or, as a space saving initiative, store the past 10 minutes at 30/60FPS 720p quality, and the the rest save it as the standard security footage (10 fps @720p for quality?) even at 10FPS there should be enough to see pretty much everything that can have happened, just be a bit jittery, but saving 66-84% ish of the storage space
But not knowing a fence is there can create some delays. After the first attack "everyone" knows the fence is there.
If I (It at a multination corp) were to use my access to systems and say, look up what other people are getting paid, I know that I would be fired before I could even blink. However, a cop goes and finds out highly confidential data (at one point didn't they want to intergrate health records into the PD systems?) about some "random" women and I bet all he'll get is paid leave (sounds like a nice vacation for him and his new GF who he knows has 10 parking/traffic violations in the past 15 years). Must be nice
Re: Re: The computer-programmer point of view
will give a whole new meaning to FAT finger...
