  I've started hearing daily adverts on Live 105 in SF for a reputation management company that vows to scrub your online presence for embarrassing things.
  
  I laugh whenever I hear it now...they make promises they can't possibly fulfill.

  PLanning a crime

  Conspiracy is a crime. What's the difference between planning a crime, and planning a fantasy crime? Does one need to take concrete steps? Does one need a map saying "kidnap and eat here" before it's considered wrong legally?
  
  Even if he had never been charged, is it appropriate for a police officer to fantasize about murdering civilians?

  I'd love to read a LEO's justification for all this BS...just say they have " little respect for the Fourth Amendment" as opposed to lying. They probably hate the 1st amendment too. Seems like LEO does everything it can in AMerica to "win" regardless of the law.

  If I said to someone in real life the same thing, implying it wasn't serious wouldn't be a valid defense either if the person felt it was serious. I don't see why it should be different on the internet.

  How come felons losing the right to vote isn't...

  Wait, putting this on a sex offender is against the constitution, but denying felons the right to vote is not? I mean, not only are you punishing the felon but ensuring they don't have the right to vote for any chance that might affect them.

  Serious question

  Has anyone ever been successfully sued for a yelp review that clearly has "satire" or "attempt at humor" written all over it?
  
  Like of the hundreds of people who dog-pile on to these fake reviews, has there genuinely ever been a single instance of fall-out or consequences? I'm guessing once they realize their business is toast due to their own actions, very few people spend their days tracking down the real identities of anonymous online posters.
  
  If the lawyer is too dumb to realize that the entire action of sending that letter was a terrible idea, do you think he's actually smart enough to actually get back at those mocking his business?
