ACTA is back in the safe, I wonder how long it will take someone to get the "new" details out. It's ludicrous that they are stooping that low as to hide and take away any idea of transparency.
Guess they should have stopped providing bandwith to TPB! Right...I can't even say anything about this because it shouldn't get past TPB users who provided/downloaded the infringing content.
A lot of people use the descriptive word footlong...Don't even get me started. lol
I use glasses. I'm not talking about time shifting, I'm talking about someone recording the content and then selling it/keeping it; you are renting the movie not buying it or buying the rights to copy it. You can't buy a ticket at the theater to a movie and then record the movie and say that you want to watch it later.
Can we get on matters that are (clears throat) a little bit more trivial?
Are you seriously telling me that the President of any country that is in chaos is going to waste time talking about this?? Please get him a couple of interns and make a new division of government or something don't waste your breath.
I don't see how anyone is going to be losing, so what if your TV can't use another input/output while your streaming a movie?? As long as they are doing it while the movie is streaming, I don't have a problem with it the companies have the right to protect their content and the content providers should have a way to prevent pirating... Why would anyone have a problem with this?
Is Google actually backing this or is this person just stating her opinion??
is scary...I can't help but wonder what is going to happen. That is all I have to say my brain hurts when ACTA is spoken of.
I agree with you, maybe they don't know that the whole world is in a recession.
While we are discussing this "Study" more and more studies are going to be released with useless information... U.S. Chamber of Commerce doesn't mean anything to me, we need to stop reading these stories we might get cancer of the brain with all the useless numbers and words in their findings.
All the companies just need to make their products a little bit more accesible.
It was very clear to me, I'll get my editor to make sure more people can understand what is being said in my comments. Maybe you understood what you wanted to understand?
You sir or madam are a loser. There is no reason for a court to force techdirt into revealing my true identity because I didn't make a comment about some companies secrets or what not...
She wrote a comment not a story of course she is not a journalist. If she had written a story then perhaps she could be qualified as a journalist. Just because I critique a movie that doesn't make me a movie critic, or because I tell someone to take an aspirin it doesn't make me a doctor.
People please read before you post, you are fighting something that does not merit it...
Mike wrote this >>>"Over the past few years, at least ten states (probably more, but we've lost track) have tried to pass laws banning the sales of violent video games to children."
He then goes to talk about Arnold and a movie that made him famous; what I'm saying is that The Terminator was not aimed at children just like violent video games are not. Video games and movies have an audience to reach and each marketing company knows who they are targeting... Remember Camel Cigarettes targeting children?? That was done on purpose, I don't see how GTA is being marketed to children.
Come on dude, read this sentence it's the first one.
"Over the past few years, at least ten states (probably more, but we've lost track) have tried to pass laws banning the sales of violent video games to children."
Would have the same thing have happened if more theaters were playing the movie? I know $ per theater would be lower if more theaters were playing the movie and the same number of people would have gone to watch, but would there have been more money made if lets say 1000 theaters played it?
Now we have to buy the commercials/previews we are forced to watch?
How about you put the commercials/previews in a separate section of the disc?
I think more people would watch them if they didn't feel like they were forced...I think I have seen some DVDs do this and I actually selected the previews that I wanted to watch and when the movie came out I went and bought the DVD or saw it at the movies. If you force me to watch commercials/previews, I'll go to the bathroom and make popcorn while the menu comes up and I won't watch any of them.
35 people to act as seat warmers for no one...I wonder if they will download music and stream their favorite shows while they have nothing to do.
Seriously though this is senseless can they just finish with ACTA first and then we deal with these guys?
Sucks for them...
This is the best thing I have read in a while, how hilarious is it that the thing that they fight the most is now trying to bite them back... I hope they lose and we can say "how the mighty have fallen!"
