Based on some comments I saw elsewhere by some Scottish people, he allowed a doctor who possessed over 5,000 images of child pornography - which, can actually mean anything these days - to walk free.
I actually can't help wonder what would have happened had he tried to get the dog to become a member of one of those Neo-Nazi groups that exist here instead.
I actually wanted to buy this game, but their "We plan to DMCA anyone who streams the game 'cause we need to protect people from spoilers for a game that's been out for six months in Japan anyway" was what made me not.
If you plan to treat your customers like shit, don't expect to get any money.
At least that money will be going to other games like Blue Reflection and Yakuza Kiwami.
This isn't totally surprising. It's a country that doesn't believe international law applies to it, after all.
Well, at least nobody nefarious will set up fake Age Verification websites in order to gather people's PII.
No sirée.
After all, that's illegal!
I just hope they don't burn themselves on that irony.
From 0 to Godwin's Law in 2.7 seconds
I've never really sided with the whole "right to be forgotten."
Mainly because people like to have their cake and eat it too.
Just imagine if Hitler was still alive today and put in one of these requests.
"So, guys, about that whole Holocaust thing I did..."
I recently read that reading fake news increases penis size...
Sounds about right for a Police state.
Re: minimal impact
Although one's not supposed to do it, I wrote my own encryption method around the start of the year.
It's a simple substitution cipher but uses Japanese characters in place of english ones.
So A could be one of 3,000 characters.

Low blow, Macy's...
I'll be eating my breakfast elsewhere from now on.
Re: Re: Join Neo Nazis
I don't recall saying he was a Nazi; nice strawman, though.
My general wondering is why it's wrong to teach a dog a Nazi salute, but perfectly okay for people to join Neo-Nazi groups. (At least here in the UK.)
Even Holocaust Denial isn't a crime here.
Would the same thing have happened if had he taught the dog to deny the holocaust?
It's very idiosyncratic.
Interesting fact about the judge, just fyi.

Upon being thrown to the ground, the police kept repeating "Kenneth, what is the frequency?"
"Why yes, officer. My password is the last 21 digits of Pi."
Shit like Denuvo means that companies won't ever bring the game to places like GOG.com.
After all, why spend all that money on it if you're going to release a DRM free version?

If you think that's bad, check out what was published today: https://www.theregister.co.uk/2017/05/04/uk_bulk_surveillance_powers_draft/
Honestly, a better title would be something like...
"New tools allow voice patterns to be cloned to produce 'totally legitimate confessions of crimes say Police'"
この句のオランダ語訳が禁止ですが。
Here's a radical idea.
Why not just make murder a crime?
...oh, right, it already is.
Takedowns are coming...
