If you consider that during an Audit, the auditors only review a sample of about 10% of the files, how can our SS General Alexander say that there is a 100% auditability. All files are there to be audited but only a small sample are in fact audited.

About an hour before reading this article, I was just thinking about the fact that Most of congressmen and senators probable have all of their comms intercepted by the NSA. Is it just a coincidence.

So... now that we've got both James Clapper and the FISC admitting that Snowden's leaks have led to an important and necessary debate concerning the extent of surveillance by the federal government, can we finally agree that he's a whistleblower... and also question why he's been charged with espionage?

That will be a hard pill for the American Gestapo to swallow. That will mean an extensive reduction of their powers. If that were to work, may be it will stop the establishment of a Fift Column which was, up to now, well in the process of being done, or may be they'll just find another way of doing it.

back in 2008, the FISC had banned any such searches at the request of the Bush administration, but in 2011 the Obama administration reversed course, and asked the FISA Court to allow such backdoor warrantless searches, and the court did what it was told,

Bush might had done all kinds of stupid things during his 2 terms. At least he took the precaution of having those searches excluded. Obama didn't care about this and asked that these restrictions be removed. Who was the most patriotic of the two.

Surely they should be able to use their database to check out people that they give security clearances to? It is not like they don't know who to check out, they will have name and phone number etc. right in front of them.

Even that is not a certainty. Today the NSA and all others... are creating fake idendities to be used by their spies. Even if you were to verify these identities on line, you you only get what the NSA and others want you se see. A lot of these spies that infiltrate companies are trained at the NSA Spy schools on how to act and learn their role perfectly. There's just no way around.

She goes on to note that the NSA's (and the administration's) further defense of the efforts have only made her point even stronger (contrary to General Alexander's promise to Granick that the upcoming revelations would show that the NSA's actions were perfectly reasonable). As she notes later in the piece, the history of abuses is well known, even if Alexander likes to ignore it.

This seems to indicate that Keith Alexander will have his own leaks to reinforce the NSA's actions.

This shows that the Obama Administration has absolutely no regards for National Security and will use the term National Security to prosecute anybody that attempts to safeguard the constitution. On this point Obama should be the subject of IMPEACHMENT and most members of his administration including the DOJ investigated and charged with leaking top secret information. Most members of his cabinet should be subject to recall. Keith Alexander, Michael Hayden and James clapper should be charged with 'Attempting to foment a Coup d'Etat. The military Establishment has to be put back in its proper place and the running of the government must be returned to civilian authorities.

Well that's what happen when a nation becomes a military run state. With the NSA, president Obama has relinquished his powers to a few generals (Clapper, Hayden, Alexander, to name a few). No he can deny knowing anything about what the NSA is doing. He is only a puppet being given orders by the generals. As for Nancy Pelosy and Diane Feinstein, the just follow the parade although they kney everything since the very beginning.

I've been following this story for months and I totally agree that our US neighbours should start thinking about not only impeachment but also recalling about 50@ of all senators and congressmen. Also, get rid of Keith Alenxanderand the other general involved with the NSA, there appears to be no bigger liar than him, may be except Obama.

Reflecting on Sandy Hook

NRA lobbyist should be banned from political activity. Additionally I believe the following points shoul be studied:

a. mental health issues
b. bullying. I do believe that bullying plays a signigicant role in the actions of the mass shooters. If you were to look into those kids past, you'd oribably find that a lot of them were wictims of byllying of some sort in school.

When I was going to school, some 50 years ago, the schools I attended did not allow bullying to occur. The bullies were punished accordingly.
