If the video is streamed from a TWC server on their internal backbone then internet usage fees would not apply. YOu would not receive content from the internet but from a server on the internal fiber backbone. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Wha!
An encrypted file that is 1mb is a 1 mb file, but that file did not start out as 1 mb before it was encrypted. So, if I am using 10 percent of the internet capacity to transfer my unencrypted data, once the data is encrypted, it will be a bigger percent of the internet used.

Something like this happened to me at Compaq. I worked in IT and we were required to service Compaq machines that the users brought from home if they used them for work at home. Somebody brought in a machine and demanded that we fix it. It was infected with various virii. Among the many folders on the desktop that had infected files was a folder containing about 2 gb of kiddy porn. the FBI was called and we never heard from the guy again. I mean, we NEVER heard from or about him again.

He means that criminals using your open wifi to commit espionage, hacking into banks etc or other cyber type crimes cannot get away with it simply becasue of the anonymous nature of open wifi hot spots.

"Violent thoughts" such as my belief that we need a revolution to fix this screwed up country we live in. I would not lift a finger to prevent it or aid our current form of government if it happened. I would use my military training to ride it out and see what comes next.

I used wikipedia all of the time. The trick is not to cite wikipedia, look at the list of resources (if given) at the bottom of the article and look up the original materials and cite them. Very simple.

Throughput is in bits per second. Divide your speed by 8 (the number of bits to transmit a data byte) and then add in tcp/ip packet overhead and it will be about right.

Wrong. US law does not state that it is legal to make a copy. "Fair Use" is a reasonable defense against the copy right law. Since it has been successfully used for years as a defense it is the "law of the land" so to speak but not a law in its own right.

Comcast raised my rates from 69.00 a month to 115.00 a month to help pay for the infrastructure upgrade going through my neighborhood. To bad U-vers is available now. AT&T will be at my house monday morning. Comcast... your fired.

Thet do scan from X-Box live. I have modded many X-Boxes and non of them would be able to use live content safely. Non of the Modded Xbox 360s that i have seen could be connected to X-Box live either.Most X-Box mods that try to connect to live get disabled.

Meta Tags

I went ot he website and read the letter sent by the accusers attorney. If in fact they are meta tagging their website with the trademarked name in order to drive search engine ttraffic to their complaint site, the accuser may have a valid arguement. It is protected speech to write a negative review, but Playboy.com could have an issue with me using playboy in a meta tag on my site to get traffice from people looking for playboy.
