  Internet comes to the rescue? Not for long. People think it is great that the US is "giving up" control over the internet. What our governement is "giving up" is having to deal with US law over issues like spying on email and other stuff. better to give it up to the UN who will then allow the governements of the world to do whatver they like in the name of "law inforcement". Just like this pesky "bill of rights". better to give and international police for jurisdiction in all countries of the world. Sorry chaps, feel like your rights were violated? the constutution of the US only protects you from the US government. Not the UN and not INTERPOL.

  Funny Post. I have a windows machine that I have been testing by running nothing but Microsoft applications on it. Narry a problem at all. My other machines have a few hiccups during their life span but nothing major. It is crap machines with cheesewiz cut rate components that casue the problems.

  Orobably pressure from big box retailers that use CDs as a loss leader. When I go to Best buy to purchase a cheaper CD, I don't buy anything else and I use a credit card. I love making Best Buy lose money like that.

  After all of the techdirt articles talking about the dangers of just surfing anywhere and picling up viral code and other things, this kind of makes me laugh. I do nto block a single site at work for productivity reasons. It is all security based.

  that is correct, as long as they are willing to pay unemployement benfits. In Texas, yiou can be terminated for any violation of the emplyee handbook. The only protection against "unreasonable" policies would be the company having to pay the unemployement benfits after the termination. You would howver, still be out of a job.

  After reading the article further, I might add that my software allows me to send info to the ECU but I would not try to outhink the GM engineers that designed my fuel curves in the first place.

  Yup, bought an ODBII reader for my laptop. Hooked it up to my Corvette. read the code, looked it up on the internet and found step by instructions on how to replace the ONE part that throughs that code. Reset Codes. Never saw it again. I think what the article wants is for the auto industry to do away with the idiot light and just tell you what is wrong on the display. unfortunately, without and LCD display, there is not enough room for individual gauges and warning lights on the dash.

  I used to own a Harley Sports 1200 with open pipes and I thought I liked the loudness. Then I traded up to a Softtail Rocker with much quieter pipes and I found that I enjoy the ride more. Plus, I can hear at the end of the ride and do not have a headache.

  you are correct. it has nothing to do with copyright. By violating the terms of entrance, he was guilty of criminal trespass, not copyright infringement.
