    I live in a nicer part of Baltimore City but right in the flight path that the "flying leaf blower" and all of our police helicopters take from the county airport they are stored at to the city. Between the constant drone of the single plane all day long and the police helicopters all night long, one can go mad by the noise pollution and the biweekly helicopter spotlight shining thru the bedroom window at 3am.

    They're still trying to get two more planes up and operational for added "coverage". The thing is, once the financial assistance of this program runs out, it'll be scraped as there is no way that the city will have the funding to continue it. The only way I see this continuing is if they hide it in plain sight as a bond issue on the ballot. I feel that maybe 10% of Baltimore City voters actually read the bond funding statements on the ballot. I have yet to see a bond issue get voted down in 22 years of voting here.

    One arrest from the surveillance data? Ya, that's par for the course here in Charm City where our PD is understaffed by around 25% of the required amount of officers for a city our size.

    Arguing that you don't care about the right to privacy because you have nothing to hide is no different than saying you don't care about free speech because you have nothing to say.
    Since you have nothing to hide and nothing to fear then you have no problem with a state controlled webcam in your bathroom or bedroom either? And while we are on the topic of nothing to fear, nothing to hide ... why are you hiding behind the Anonymous Coward PRIVACY commenting account???

    Or Facebook wanted to take the ads down and maybe found some silly rule that they violated to make that kind of thing happen.
    Or maybe Warren's team wanted to make the ad go viral without spending a lot of ad money and purposefully broke Facebook's ad rules in order to get it taken down so they could claim Facebook was censoring the message ... Or someone didn't RTFM about ad posting.

    The people of Baltimore understand exactly how things work. It's you that do not. While it's true that the Mayor of Baltimore has the power to hire/fire the commissioner and the citizens of the city get to foot the bill for the department, the city has zero control over in department policy and oversight. Most of the parameters for police operations are a matter of state law and are controlled by the Maryland State General Assembly under the Public Local Laws of Baltimore City not the Baltimore City Charter and Codes. Because of that, the police commissioner is limited in who he can fire below the upper echelons of his command and what policy he can enact.

    Reforms to the police are not decided alone by the representatives of the city but by all of the state representatives including districts that are over a hundred miles away and are subject to a possible veto by the governor not to mention the political in fighting and general BS that defines the state capital.

    One of the many fights going on right now is a push to return control of the department back to the city.

    I have a prescription for my allergy meds. Depending on the state, you can at least buy 3 boxes at time with a prescription. Some states supposedly allow you to buy a 90 day supply. Plus, it's an eligible expense if you have an HSA account.

    Same here. I use Zyrtec D daily for allergies. Guess I better straighten up the house.

    On a side note, you can get a prescription from your doctor for your Allegra-D which should allow you to at least buy 3 boxes at a time. I found it stupid that I had to go to the pharmacy every 11 days in order to buy a single 12 day supply of OTC allergy medication at a time so I asked my doctor about it.

    Actually, comparing it to drugs makes complete sense. In the 80s and 90s, the government successfully won the War on Drugs. So it only makes sense to apply the same philosophy to the War on Mike ... err, umm, I mean Piracy!
