    Dear Rights holder,

    Dear Rights holder,

I really enjoyed your work and wanted to share it with my friends who couldn't be here with me today. But since you are so concerned about your rights on this object, I was not able to take a picture and give you a bunch of free advertisement that you would of had to put 0 effort into. That is really too bad, because I know someone who really likes this type of design and probably would have bought one from you. But I guess you are getting what you want, so good luck with that.

When I read this the first thing I thought of is when Truman Burbank hits the edge of his bubble, walks out the door and they show some guy asking for the TV guide to see what else is on. If WB doesn't realize that people have a short attention span, oh well, guess I'll just watch something else.

    letter to Reps

    To my Representatives,

If you vote yes on either one of these bills the backlash will be huge. You can follow the money and have a huge payday for your campaign funds or reaffirm the thought of corruption and take a job with one of these groups. but none of it will matter because you will not get votes. The American People will not take lightly to being censored, and you will feel it come November.

    TSA vs. a 1st Grader

Maybe he should have taken the approach of the TSA and asked him to go through a scanner, then when the bully refused this would have all been OK and probably gotten away with more.

  • A Question For SOPA Supporters: How Will You Gauge SOPA's Success?

    Re:

I don't think that it is legal alternatives vs non legal, I think it is tech savvy vs non tech savvy people. Ya if you are not vary tech savvy, the cost of infringement scares you because you do not know how to get around it and avoid it. Those people tend to take the easier, safer, convenient route, which is to pay for everything. But the next generation has never known what it is like to not have a computer. They are sharers, just look on Facebook and Youtube how much crap they share. Do you really think they will stop because of this? They will be resourceful and just take it deeper so you don't know it is happening.

I don't know a good metric, but it better not be left up to the MPAA or RIAA, because we all know how they judge economic impact and cook the books on things.

    Re: New Internet

Now that I think about this a bit more, this really seems like DRM. All the people who know better and want the information are going to setup a network to get it, while the paying customers get screwed and pissed off that nothing works.

    New Internet

So, if something like this was to go through, how long before a new underground internet is created that gets around all of this and renders this legislation completely useless?

  • What If A Court Gave An Important Ruling, But We Were Not Allowed To Know What It Was?

    Ignorance of the Law

This brings a whole new meaning to ignorance of the law. If the people who are supposed to be leaders of this country can show this much ignorance towards the law and this country, they better not get pissed when people show that same level of ignorance and disrespect right back.

No, Corps and LLCs can not make these types of decisions, there is always a person behind the choice. We need to stop letting people hide behind the company badge and punish them, else they are just going to do it again and again.

Some one had to make the decision of breaking the law, we need to stop letting the government or Corporation tag get the way, and punish the people who are truly responsible for the crimes.

Where are the big internet guys?

Where is Google, Yahoo, and all the businesses that depend on the internet in all this. I know that Google has the idea of do no evil, but I am really starting to think that not doing anything is starting to be evil also. They are the ones who seem to have the most resources to fight back and have a lot to lose with bills like this, but I don't hear of them doing anything.

Something else that I have been thinking about lately, is lobbying and passing laws, Are we to the point where it is easier and more influential to write to a company and have them make a donation to get heard, rather then just write a letter to your representative yourself

    Jurisdiction

How does the jurisdiction work on this? Do I have to be in the state when I post/send the picture? just pass through there once so they can get me? Come get me anyways just because I pissed somebody off, even though my state does not have a ridiculous law like this? sounds like this is going to be a law that they can't really enforce that well.

So this only block phone cameras? I know that they are getting better, but a regular camera still takes much better pictures and can have much more storage available for photos/video. Sounds like a solution to a problem that doesn't really exist.

    like a toll bridge

I built my own island and the only way to get there is on my bridge that I also built. On my island I make money by selling ads, having people look at my ads and then deciding to go to the places that are in the ads. My friend thought that my island was a good idea and a place that people would really enjoy so he also built a bridge to my island. But I don't like his bridge and think that I should be the only one able to control the people and the way they get to my island. So in response I built a toll booth at the entrance to my bridge, but I didn't want people to feel like they were cut off from my island so I put up a sign and details about how to get to my friend's bridge that is free. Since I spent so much money on my new toll booth about $40 Million, I know that I have loyal customers that will want to use my bridge and pay my new toll even though there are better options of getting to my island. I don't see what can go wrong with that.
