I nearly through a fit reading that, twice.
We don't have to sign a contract to visit this site, retard. The lengths you go to in an attempt discredit Mike and this site are truly sad.
This could bring us back to $10 and below new releases that we have sorely missed.
Personally, I couldn't care less if publishers think they are bastardising sales of their physical products, but I still refuse to pay $10 for a text file with a pretty thumbnail. It's still too much.
It's worth noting, Zach, that the ABC in Australia is not a commercial station. All content is purchased/licensed/produced with a budget provided by the federal government.
With this in mind, the ABC doesn't have to be concerned about cannibalising their TV ratings/audience/advertising partners because they do not run any advertising to support their content. Thus the conversation about what they potentially lose/gain by doing this is moot.
I can guarantee you will never find any of the commercial stations in Australia willing to provide the same service as it would piss off their advertising partners.
Playstation offer digital movie purchase/rental service via their PS3. In Australia, due to the retarded way licensing and local distributor thinking works, the newest movies they offer are typically $32.99 (HD purchase), $26.99 (SD Purchase), $6.99 (HD Rental) and $4.99 (SD Rental). In addition, most SD content is 2.0Ch audio and some of the HD stuff is also only 2Ch. Also, the size of these HD files are generally in the 5-10GB range, but the compression used is so bad that "scene" releases on said films far outstrip them in terms of picture/sound quality and size.
Firstly, on principal, I am not willing to waste 5-10GB on something I don't get to keep, so that rules out rental. Bandwidth is valuable over here, so I don't want to waste it. I'm never likely to rent it again, so the studios would lose nothing by letting people keep the files.
Secondly, I can usually buy the fucking Blu-ray, somewhere on the internet, for $10-$20, so they have fat chance of convinging me to fork out double, for an inferior digital copy.
Thirdly, the content is locked, not only to my PSN account, but to the Playstation itself. I can't shift it to my media PC and watch it and there's only so much room on a PS3 HDD.
But, it's "available," right?
Screw you Sony/ It's cheap Blu-ray or a Scene release for me and you will never make me feel any guilt because of it.
Please stop using the word "piracy" in your article titles. You only lend the word more legitimacy.
Should have previewed befaor I posted, but this is what happens when you don't include an edit function.

Second line, actually.

HAH! She was in Baywatch before Total Recall. Now THAT would have been funny to see :P
It's quite a stretch to contend that an unreleased movie somehow "acknowledges" the "link" between movie violence and actual violence.
That's not quite how the quote in the article reads. The quote calls into question not the supposed link itself, but whether the action of the studio thinking about delaying, or re-shooting parts of the film, in light of recent events, is a defacto admission by the studios that such a link may exist.
In other words, the author of the quote sounds not like he is using the studio's actions as proof of connection, rather questioning whether the studio themselves think there's a link.
EMI responds with this amazing statement, which baldly states
So, they stated this without hair?
Another article mentioned Role-playing games, but didn't venture as far as mentioning which one(s).
I'd hardly call that video "hilarious." In fact, it wasn't even interesting. I only watched it all the way through on Zac's recommendation. Now I just want 6 minutes of my life back.
Fail. Been living under a rock for the past few years?
Umm, that's exactly the problem. Those are the people with all the power that are conspiring to strip us of all of our rights.

What. The. Fuck.
You do realise this entire blog is representative of Mike's personal beliefs on all matters posted. That's exactly what a blog is. Are you that fucking retarded?
