  A particularly dishonest position given I have no doubt whatsoever that the same person/people who thought that was a good excuse for crowbarring in the not-actually-ten-commandments would lose their gorram minds if a school/teacher put up posters with the Satanic Temple’s seven tenets(a much more moral list).

  You know, when it comes to campus protesting for the lives of Palestinians in Gaza, I hear so much about about how when the police are called upon to break their skulls and violate their constitutional rights to free speech, it's to "combat anti-Semitism", but when the only Jewish candidate for NYC mayor gets arrested for the supposed crime of not respecting Trumpy's authoritah, I hear crickets from the likes of Bari Weiss and Jonathan Greenblatt. Almost like the weaponization of anti-Semitism was disingenuous. And you know what? This pisses me off as a Jew, since it makes me less safe, and I already feel unsafe enough as an autistic trans woman!

  Here's the thing though: If §230 goes, Alphabet and Meta will be fine. They have lawyers who can fight back. It's just that startups like Bluesky or every single mastadon instance or any possible competitor to YouTube won't be able to fight back.

  Here's the thing, though: Everyone has an accent. Trumpy has an older "Noo Yawk" accent among boomers; so does Chuck Schumer. Those of us who are millennials don't have that accent, but we do have a different accent that is closer to standard American English. Saying you don't have an accent is like saying you don't have an ideology: if you think you don't have one and other people do, it's not them, it's you.
