Except when it says this shirt was $2 at the thrift shop, & I needed a shirt.
I'm pretty sure about a broad part of the population being insane. It certainly explains a lot.
Are you sure he didn't get the idea from Robocop? That was 26 years ago.
The battle for the hearts and minds at least has been lost. The public in general seems to have a higher opinion,of wiki-leaks than of NSA and the officials who permit them to operate.
Their internet was probably down also. Then keep in mind; they likely weren't the sharpest tools in the shed, so an avi wouldn't do them much good.

I doubt they really care what we think. It is less trouble to control passive masses, but I'm pretty sure despite the alleged readiness of some, that resistance is futile.
the government has agreed to destroy all data it obtained from his laptop and other electronics
Yeah right, and I've got used MP3s on sale this week; 3 for a dollar.

The Supreme court judges have been writing law, as opposed to interpreting it, for decades. The political parties game the system, a judge in failing health, has them salivating, when in a position to appoint. I've seen some very questionable rulings lately, that have to be (IMO) just following party lines. the problem is; they an oath to uphold the constitution.
Mainly; that the original intent of sales tax was to put the burden of maintaining the town / states infrastructure on those who used it. So the streets, cops, etc were at least partially paid for by the people out using them. The California shoppers in this example, aren't using any of that, except perhaps if delivery is other than USPS who come to every house every day, then they might cause .01% of the burden they would impose on the shopping district compared to actually going out shopping.
I'd be more enthusiastic if not for my experience with local government. Ours are quite corrupt, occasionally, we manage to elect a good honest person. Within 6 months to a year, they are as nearly as bad as the previous ones. I don't think this is perception, I've known a couple before they were candidates, & couldn't believe how they were voting a year after election. Apparently $$ is one hell of a drug.
Worse yet it is flagging them as a place good software goes to die. The reader wasn't if I remember correctly developed in house, but was bought from the developer. they messed with it and made it slightly worse, in the name of all change is good change, now are abandoning it,
Like every other move that attempts to screw down the internet, it would be mapped around directly. Introducing word messages now with out pop or smtp. I'm just saying it is unenforceable in the way that the information exchange is a moving target. The reason Email and IRC have survived relatively unchanged, is due to lack of natural enemies.
Missed the post about shunning email services that require CC'sapparently
Perhaps it is like lift and elevator. We inverted the product, but ya-all invented the language. So who gets to decide? American English allows math as a plural, officially or not, while it is, perhaps, a bending of the rules.
Absolutely, it has always been EA's style to force obsolescence. I've still not forgotten how they wouldn't release a video update for NFS3 (the original hot pursuit) when video cards changed to the modern type. Their reply was to buy the newer version, which wasn't hot pursuit. I already owned the newer "most Wanted", and that didn't help one bit. Some times the strategy or something of a game just hits with a person, and almost the same won't get it. They are so far off in the woods with that title now, I don't even check to see if it might accidentally be fun. I've moved on to Rockstar Games

"Once the construction is finished the ban will be lifted."
How much you wanna bet? Temporary, is how government gets the camels nose in the tent.
