"You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time."
With KickStarter, you have to fool everybody for a month or whatever... scams are supposed to exploit the heat of the moment or rush, running a scam for a month until it pays out takes a lot of skill.
amp up

Hey, the 100% of those who still use the legal services haven't abandoned them, which is pretty impressive!
Reading the comments on http://www.ronpaul.com/2013-02-08/ron-paul-vs-ronpaul-com/ make me cringe. Most commenters are in "LOL U SCAM RONPAUL" mode. (not the one that mentions the anti-Huntsman video, that one is quite dashing and probably a gentleman and a scholar).
Problem is that would target companies that don't file DMCA claims at all.
Redo for markup:
"Some will argue, of course, that "any publicity is good publicity" and that perhaps that was the strategy all along."
"Some will argue... that perhaps that was the strategy..."
Your version removes this link, so it takes out the "some will argue" from "strategy", changing it so that the writer thinks "perhaps that was the strategy". The original version said that "some will argue that perhaps that was the strategy" without making a judgement himself.
There was no need to fix it.

"Captivity Collaborator"?

"...Creators of such memorable characters like Space Elves, Space Orcs and Space Wizards."
This seems appropriate

(and who said it was sarcasm. Look up "sarcasm". this is hyperbole, not sarcasm)
So you think it was intended to convey that literally not a single person uses it?
"...smack each other around while an oblong leather ball sits somewhere in the background."
Best description of American Football I've ever read.
I think you're right, Alpha actually means internal testing, Beta means external testing (closed or open). Generally you "feature freeze" before Beta (since you can't just go back and test internally all the new stuff you're added while people outside are testing a version that's going to be obsolete). But in neither case it's considered "ready to ship", just that it cleared that stage of testing. Granted, nowadays everything that ships is probably in alpha or beta quality anyways :P
You seem to have a history of telling people what not to write about in this site.
Well, actually beta means it's in the bug finding phase. It just means that there will be no new changes (alpha means everything is subject to change), just fixes.
You're thinking about a Release Candidate.
Now, banning someone for telling you what's wrong with your beta... that makes no sense (yes, I know he was actually banned because their forum DRM misfired, as they are wont to do).
