  Like a restaurant

  This is like a restaurant that is seeing declining visitors from food quality. So instead of working on making their Food better, or hell even just making the dining experience better they think raising prices or working on their "brand image" is how to solve that problem.

  Open and Shut

  If this isn't an open and shut case of DMCA abuse I don't know what is. Yet not a single entity(Google or Popehate/Ars) will go after this guy for DMCA abuse.
  They need to do something about DMCA abuse in the future(or preferably NOW) before this kinda stuff gets really out of hand.

  Wait, people's first step in any pre-built machine ISN'T to instantly wipe and build the install themselves to get rid of all the BS on the image?
  I mean that is what I have been doing for years.

  Or the more EVEN obvious "reasoning". Legal said that the warranty wouldn't be able to detect if a user overclocked their system and it burned up. So Nvidia removed the feature.
  Basically some lawyers likely said "some guy can OC his netbook, burn it up and file a warranty and there is nothing we can do. Fix this".
  This is why we can't have nice things.

  Google has a product that may be interesting to the Feds. We actually got a presentation on a "google box" that would install on your local network and parse through documents and build a search index. It was out of our price range unfortunately but was a really fun idea, essentially google for your local intranet.
  
  But for Yahoo and Facebook....what exactly would the government "hire" them to do?

  Keiser should be charged with Perjury(lying under oath). But we all know the DOJ's record with going after their own is so terrible nothing will come of this.
  Holding people responsible for their actions isn't part of this most nontransparent administration in history.

  Iwata pretty much only pays attention to the Japan market. His only focus is to listen to his Japanese investors. It is SO apparent that is the case it is painful.
  
  Also since when did "pre-oder" go from "you have a week-month to sign up and we will make what the demand is" to "we have X number of units and if you are not a scalper or somebody who lives on gaming sites 24/7 you are not getting one". Nintendo is really pissing me off with that recently.

  Verizon has already stopped FIOS rollout.
  It is almost as if they see Title II is incoming, and their plan is to wait until after and then claim it is just "too expensive to continue their upgrade". Keep whining in some attempt to get the american people to think they are right that Title II was the wrong move.

  That point, that we treat terrorism as different than crime really hits home. When there's a criminal spree -- bank robberies, burglaries, car thefts -- we may make certain changes in how we act (get better locks, security systems, etc.) but we don't seem to change our entire national psyche. We don't get terrified by crime.
  
  Just to throw a monkey wrench at this point...how exactly would you define the "War on Drugs" then?
