  • This Will Certainly End Well: Retailers Are Equipping Employees With Body Cameras To Limit Theft

    ECA ( profile ), 11 Jun, 2024 @ 02:15pm

    Wont work

"Do you know what happens when an hourly employee in full uniform starts following a suspected thief? " #1, unless in the contract, Employees are NOT COVERED outside the building. It will be stated, NOT to chase the thief, unless you are the Security officer. What happens if a person is SEEN as a thief? Drop and keep wondering, they cant arrest you UNTIL YOU LEAVE THE PREMISES. If there is a CLEAR run to the door, DO IT. But there is only a 10-25% exchangfe for stolen items, UNLESS you can steal certain items like Levis 501, shrink to fit for the russian market.(that was the old one they were stealing) Its easier to install a SLOW down on exit, Blocking a Direct line to the exit, where they have to walk Passed All the registers and Customer service to FEEL guilty or they are about to be caught. NOW, How to think about this. There are only a few ways to get RID of excess materials. and get a FULL write-off. But all of them have a MAX amount that can be claimed. destruction and thrown away, Passed down to a lower store, Theft, Charity. The Big thing here, is that IF the item is still around its STILL competing with your sales. Better to destroy it or report as theft.

  • Hey Journalists: Not Every Elon Musk Brain Fart Warrants An Entire News Cycle

    ECA ( profile ), 11 Jun, 2024 @ 01:20pm

    But, he is right.

" ExTwitter to (falsely) claim Apple OS with ChatGPT integration posed such a dire privacy threat," THIS is exactly how he would do things. Even you Agree. "Automakers are generally some of the worst companies in tech when it comes to privacy and security, and according to Mozilla, Tesla is the worst of the worst."

  • Seventh Circuit Shrugs, Says The Odor Of Legal Weed Can Justify A Warrantless Vehicle Search

    ECA ( profile ), 10 Jun, 2024 @ 04:13pm

    Warrantless?

FINE, but you BETTER find that weed. AND BEFORE the cops enter the car, have the DOG SNIFF THEM, also.

  • Judge Experiments With ChatGPT, And It’s Not As Crazy As It Sounds

    ECA ( profile ), 10 Jun, 2024 @ 02:44pm

    it really Cant

As there is the Concept and use of words in Only a specific fashion and meaning. You can take and drop every dictionary, and make up your own meanings for certain words. Which is done. Like every sporting event, that has key words to mean certain things, ONLY. In Video games if you mention KD, everyone knows what you mean. Creating and using a restrictive language in certain cases is a great thing. But restricts the common Person, a bit.

  • Elon Sued His Critics, But Reporters Keep Exposing How He’s Monetizing Hate

    ECA ( profile ), 10 Jun, 2024 @ 01:52pm

    TV corps

Learned LONG ago how they had to deal with being Sued for news articles dealing with FACTS. Ask 60 minutes how they di with Tobacco, and a few others. And as you have noted before. Its not that you are going to Court, Its Not that you are Correct and they cant win. ITS TIME, and how long they will Keep you in court spending Millions in Costs. If we had a judge that restricted BOTH SIDES to 1 week to prove their side. Truth might last alot longer and faster, and cheaper.

  • Oral-B Takes ‘Alexa’ Feature Away From Its Toothbrush Base 4 Years After Selling Them

    ECA ( profile ), 08 Jun, 2024 @ 09:31am

    "Smart"?

Wanting a device with access to your computer/internet to play Your music? I call that a CHEAP Cellphone thats NOT using the cellphone part. And many have Voice activation. How many devices got Alexia SLAPPED on just to raise the price? And most times its Just Talking to your PHONE, its a remote speaker. for the Increase in price you could have gone to Amazon and got the CHEAP tablet, for LESS. But as with our phones, the OS expands and gets to big to FIT on the older systems. (THEN WHY UPDATE, it worked, leave it alone) OR paying a small fee to Use the Alexia Program? They wanted to use $0.99 worth of hardware and charge you $100 to use it.

    SOP, standard operating procedure.

You hit 2 points that affect All corps. Being on the stock exchange and the inevitable Max amount of customers. The stock exchange was not designed to be: A permanent Long term low interest bank loan. A forever increasing Bank. It was setup to Share Some ownership of business and how well a company Could be. Not Stretched to the nth degree to get every penny it could. It was to show a small profit to those that invested, as a value of the corp goes up. NOT inflated to a point it cant sustain.

    what would really

Do some good? Tracking the data corps are hiding. the excuse be the head of 1 major corp, "I didnt know what was going on at the 4th floor". Just dont do it. Yep point fingers, NOT at those trying to hide injustice, but those complaining about it.

    Anndd?

Tech dirt Politically biased? Maybe abit, but 90% is discussion, waiting for ANON, to reply to our comments. Then we get some Great comments to DEBATE. Make a controversial comment and watch 200+ others GIVE their side of it.(thats democracy) As to reality to any subject, Most of the time, its facts, then Opinion. As I suggested to a person,"Are you sure you know what Socialism is? Or is this an opinion you gained from TV/another person/NEWS or is it a Key word you dont know? Please go read up on what it is, and how it works". Esp. since he lives in a farming community.

  • More Pointless Wireless Consolidation As T-Mobile Buys U.S. Cellular For $4.4 Billion

    ECA ( profile ), 30 May, 2024 @ 12:09pm

    ?This seems familiar.

This reminds me of the GAMES, the old Hardware phone system was doing. HIDE THE PEA. Buying back and forth and around in a circle, Every phone company to the point, NO ONE can figure out who owns whom, nor the taxes for those companies. If you could open an onion and Charge by layers, it would be fine. But this is creating Knots, in who owns What? When? Is there a mortgage, Cash settlement? Anyone ever wonder Why the IRS is Obsolete in the hardware/Software they have?

  • City Pays $900k To Man Tortured Into Confessing Committing A Murder That Never Happened

    ECA ( profile ), 30 May, 2024 @ 11:35am

    These corps?

Have gone against the law, and no one is arresting anyone. They cant arrest anyone for being a monopoly or for Over pricing goods to the point of making everyone Poor. They cant arrest any corp head for corruption, Without a Judge or major concern telling them to DO IT. They are 90% traffic cops.

  • City Pays $900k To Man Tortured Into Confessing Committing A Murder That Never Happened

    ECA ( profile ), 29 May, 2024 @ 10:40am

    And

the corps.. Why the cops cant enter a Large company even if they KNOW the top people have committed a crime. UNLESS TOLD to do so.

  • The U.S. Finally Passes An Internet Privacy Law… For Rich Jet Owners

    ECA ( profile ), 29 May, 2024 @ 10:27am

    The logic?

I would say Dear Congress, its fun that you are having problems stopping corps from Using our and your data. Sites like medical facilities, hospitals, Clinics, Corporate restaurants, Hotel/motels. and All the other business's in the USA, from being Hacked and their data stolen. This includes the 3 Major data brokers that do our credit ratings. But I have a strange feeling I think that most of the hacking is Internal, and the biggest hacker Must be our gov. and the corps themselves. they need a Fault to excuse. You would think this would be fixed quickly, as even THEIR data and internal DATA (rep and demo committees) Can be affected. What logic is there to be hacking Clinics and hospitals? Unless you are an insurance agency or that they would PAY for the info. You would think that certain Corps and groups would be targets, but wouldnt they be Yelling if something happened? what reason to NOT do something to help the people?
