  im not in favour of an outright ban, but if the government doesn't try and stand between firearms and people too dumb to be trusted with them then nobody else will.

  It's comments like that that keep government in you business rather than out of it. Let Darwinism handle the "too dumb".

  Side note here. Open carry ANYwhere solves the pillow problem, but hey security vs freedom right?

  Back in my youth the vampires zynga app had a bonus feature of giving you a skill for playing in the poker rooms (Reason to buy in two linked products). This added the benefit community gathering for those of us that loved playing late night poker with the fringe of not only pop culture goths but heathens, wiccans and the like without getting harassed and outright threatened by radical Christians ect because of a profile pic. They just didn't come into the rue morgue (the server dedicated to the bonus of the vampire zynga game). Without notice they closed the Rue morgue and we started sending in request and petitions to Zynga directly to get it re-opened considering it was the only place this community could play in peace. Not one reply from Zynga to a community reaching in the thousands. Needless I long my respect for Zynga a long time ago.

  Small problem Mike. Before during and after the people are not "talking back." at the very least it seems that only one side is being told. I don't know why I followed this story so closely but this may help paint a clearer picture.

  Power corrupts absolutely once again. Stakeholders hell, any person, anywhere that wants or needs to do anything is affected by this. We tend to forget that we need to stop looking up for anything, let alone asking that higher power if it is ok.

  Reminds me of an mmorpg racing game I used to play. Opened shop in the U.S with mods for the cars including aesthetics. Problem was they were charging same price for 1 month (U.S) of a mod vs 12 months (Asian).
  
  Found that out and I don't think the game even exist anymore after the community strung them up. Though I wonder if this "joke" will take the same turn or not.

  No tinfoil needed. I'll always er on the side of caution when the facts tell me that anyone has the ability to do anything without the repercussions.
  
  Why be more frightened? At least I can hope for temporary insanity verses the pedophile or serial killer to meet a just end. With cops you hope for a L.A. Riot.
