.."The system works. It's not the only system that could work, of course, but it does work, IMO."

For a fan of Carlin this in his immortal words; this is stunningly full of shit..

The incentives and exactly who? Incomplete sentences to act as Axioms; little tip there is NO dogma in a logical debate. Create something new, but gods forbid I improve on the last model. If I had a buzzer now is the time for it.

The examples of actual literary works that were supposed to hit this year did even one make it to market for this supposed "trade-off". Its the old gold banker trick They Lend you PAPER! Though my analogy is a bit off. Its thesis vs antithesis. Copyright good for & Copyright bad for[blank] IE the Problem. Lets get a reaction; good monopolies verses competition; yet both are true right? Orwell is here to, great. We have a privilege not a right to create. Solution is more control at the top or ie; let us set up a tax funded (oh.. bonus fleece!) bureaucracy when the community cant tell a Rolex from Ray-bans(aka. Time to do "something" with obstructed vision)

Same people create the problem, define the "correct" reaction & the solution using black verses white funding both so "we the people" look up for help(not answers) rather than to each other; which btw actually works to ferret out impersonators. Oh wait... did we just get to the conclusion that we fear flatterers? That urine coming back to you yet?

Ya really need to view that Carlin clip before responding to [blank]rights discussions.

"Unless you have a huge ego and just want to be worshipped."

Considering DH & Yours Helmet nice finish.

    Oh and side quote.

There are certain things a human needs in life; doing something they love, doing it well... but most importantly being recognized for it.
    -George Carlin

That being said, its great to be part of something if that's your plum. It's far more notable and meaningful to the individual if they are recognized, let alone immortalized. That is not EGO it's noble.

    Re: Are you a MLM?

Mass level ... define distribution elsewhere if you have the funds or the initiative to buy another business. Oh and having the clarity that granted monopolies... need i say more?

Your doing your job right if there is somebody starts doing it elsewhere. And btw the appeal to the anti-thesis of China will kill my successful business (assuming you entered the market on something marketable) is a flat out self delusion based in fear of the unknown, fear of the knockoff, fear of highest form of flattery? LMAO. Ignorance isn't a faithful friend.

    appeal to authority... check
they are smarter then though.. check
appeal to antithesis and believing both are true for an Orwellian spin(in example "It's the opposite of what you say"... check

easier solution. Remove the patent system and learn to market your brand or franchise your greatest asset; distribution elsewhere.

Re: Re: Re: Re: All about the money

So let me get your reasoning strait here.

    IV buys patents.
    Poisons the patent pool.
Companies incentive is to buy patents.
    Poisons the business pool.
    **Missing a few steps**
    Cured?

How the hell does that make any sense. How the hell is any business (notably start-ups) intend to break into any market where there's enough sustainable demand with this model?

    Rare individuals.

one of my credos is to remove denial in my thought process. I speak from years of personal experience that the old adage fear of the unknown is a self-delusion. As for my self-doubt? I play online poker for a living.

My tip for life is go strait to acceptance. We do NOT live in a Black & White word. Your going to live in Orwellian times if you constantly re-enforce Thesis+Antithesis = symmetry(or believing both are true). Take a REAL look at history and you'll find the funding & political pressure originate from the same source to every world event. To what purpose? More power at the top. It doesn't take reading David Icke to figure this out, though its probably the best read if you can open your mind for 2 seconds. Happy trails.

    Food for thought.

Been thinking about this for a while now. If the new war is a war on innovation between countries. Then isn't it likely that the dissemination of information on all things creative becomes a grey market akin to open source projects and whistle blowing on things like climategate?
