Just think, if these draconian policies had been in place some 120 years ago, Friedrich Trump the pimp and his pregnant wife would have been denied entry into the US after their deportation from Bavaria for Herr Trump's failure to perform mandatory military service, and their grandson Donald would most likely have been born in some other country. Maybe he'd be President of Argentina right now. At the least he'd be someone else's problem.

As for "news", a wide variety of sources remain available online, including this site.
If there's one thing we can count on from "the cloud" and all of the streaming services, it's that we CAN'T count on the content we want being available at any given moment. Since I find that unacceptable, I have an expensive collection on the 100T of storage currently installed on my primary entertainment computer, and yes, I DO have it all backed up. Not cheap, but neither is cable TV or any of the worthwhile available streaming services, and this is content that I OWN. Forever.
To look at me you'd never imagine that English was my father's second language, one that he wasn't really exposed to much until he entered public school at age six. He served in the US Army, went to college on the GI Bill, and went on to become a Full Professor at a large State university, retiring an Emeritus.
