No, They protect something I made. or if something I made is required for an entire market to function I at least get paid for my research and innovation. Agreed Microsoft works to protect their business model rather then their patents, but if they do own them and they are infringed upon they are due any compensation they deem it worth. If someone thinks the costs too much, then don't infringe, innovate your own way.
When the web was built it was designed to be indestructible or at the very least very hard to disable. I think it high time we make it more secure and less controlled either by the government or those who say they are doing us a favor by giving us access.
Oh yes, nice on topic post there CMK... (Everybody's a critic)
* Governments would have to be more honest and a lot smaller.
* The citizens of the world would have a lot more control of how their government runs.
* Businesses would not make profits on the backs of people, rather they would be forced to make it with honest hard work and innovation.
When I am looking for a file to torrent, Google is where I usually start. For the most part I never go to a torrent library like those indicated. Google makes it too easy to just click the file I need and go. Neither Google or Pirate Bay stores the actual files. Given that, how is Google different?
That's because their prices are placed to where they actually make 5-10 times what it costs to provide. So if they have a recommended price, many are compelled by embarrassment to pay at least the suggested amount. Those who pay more are either showing off or, much less likely, actually think the meal is worth it. Those who pay less, well there will always be those who think that because it's a big corporation they should give things away.
Using the courts same logic if I were strolling by with a group of friends and pointed out a building of a software firm telling them what it does, and what it does is questionable, that makes me liable also for what they do.
I totally agree. It used to really be something to see someone who had worked so hard finally receives a very big thanks. Giving the prize to Obama for something he might do cheapened the whole thing for everyone who has ever or will ever receive it.
It might have a good effect as suggested above, get more people in china to work around the sensors and demand better.
Google has been a do as we say not as we do company for years. Because of their power in the ability to make or break an on-line company with a simple tweak of software they could be that way. It's nice to see someone come along that does not have to follow Goggle's rules. It was starting to feel like the on-line market was getting a little stagnant with the Google god always in control.
Google is not about helping people, it's about money. It was pretty oblivious that they will do anything to stay in China, a huge market; even backtrack on there strong words not to censor. They just thought they were strong enough to push China.
So the millions using Google's gadget on their Google home page to watch and comment on their Facebook account along with Google are criminally libel too. Good, Google against Facebook, bring it on... See how Facebook will bully someone a whole lot bigger.
Just Google trying to tie you to more ads. After all it's an ad company, not a content company. Ads are no good unless you can tie them to people. So if you look for porn, Goggle will sell that data to the porn industry and they will come looking for you.
Conroy is the moral equivalent of Kellogg here in the US who by the way promoted circumcisions as a way to keep us boys from playing. He's government, socialist government. That type of government likes to keep very close tabs on its people always in the name of we can take care of you better then you.
Bush and Obama are government too, and the usual government rule is to never give up anything about its people once you get it, taxes, information, etc... The difference is Obama is socialist government and if he can put eyes in your bedroom he will, and again there’s the let’s make this company and that company a government entity for the betterment of society.
Google is a fantastic company that like others hit that perfect sweet spot at the right time. But don't be fooled, like any company they are there to make money and they make their money by collecting as much information about you as possible.
I absolutely hate the "Up To" advertising, even to the point of sending a letter to the FCC. It's one of the most deceiving add gimmicks ever. Like the Article says, Up to could mean up to 1Mbs. or 1Kbs. It's time we were offered some sort of speed guarantee for our money.
Yes lost, then found, but the finder did not return so it becomes stolen by definition of law, then the stolen goods were sold to another, so selling and buying of stolen goods. The buyer then vandalized the phone, copied( made photographs of a prototype) posted those photos in order to gain profit, then he as you said returned the destroyed product to Apple.

Something that is sorely needed
When the web was built it was designed to be indestructible or at the very least very hard to disable. I think it high time we make it more secure and less controlled either by the government or those who say they are doing us a favor by giving us access.

If everything were in the open...
* Governments would have to be more honest and a lot smaller.

Google is not that important
It's just another company there to make a profit off your personal details people. It's no more reliable, good or bad, than any other.
That's because their prices are placed to where they actually make 5-10 times what it costs to provide. So if they have a recommended price, many are compelled by embarrassment to pay at least the suggested amount. Be careful what you point at...

Indeed

No, and to add to the no-right list:
1. Boxer
2. Pelosi
Do No Evil
So much for the Goggle fan boys who though Google was on their side. Like any business they are on whatever side makes them money.
Just like other back room deals made in Washington we the consumer and small businesses are going to get the shaft again.
Sounds like an advertisement to me
This sounds like someone is advertising Nissan.
It's about money not not being evil
Google is not about helping people, it's about money. It was pretty oblivious that they will do anything to stay in China, a huge market; even backtrack on there strong words not to censor. They just thought they were strong enough to push China.
Google too
So the millions using Google's gadget on their Google home page to watch and comment on their Facebook account along with Google are criminally libel too. Good, Google against Facebook, bring it on... See how Facebook will bully someone a whole lot bigger.
Freedom of Speech
Seems Freedom of Speech depends on who is in charge.
