Just one more reason to know your rights. What we should all be fighting for is a more centralized project revolving around ensuring everyone understands their rights.
Does anyone else want to place bets on how long before the White House petition system goes away? I'm giving it another month, at the maximum. It's too much work for these guys to actually have to respond directly to the demands of the American public.
I'm not a big fan of Marc Rubio, but in the interest of fairness and conciliation, I wanted to shoot a note to him, to thank him for making this statement. But, it looks like his site is down. :(

"What will it take to get the message through to those in charge at Ubisoft?"
It will take consumers who are willing to be conscientious about the products that they buy. You could ask the same of the issues we are seeing around the world today with folks protesting the current state of their government. What needs to happen to make a change? Easy, apathy needs to change. Either you are a product of the system that has been created for you or you are a knowledgeable consumer who decides what producers produce...you decide.
So far, I have received 5 responses to my White House petitions; all crappy canned responses; all having plenty of words but telling me nothing...waste of time.
Phase 1: US ISPs voluntarily enforce 5 strike plan
Phase 2: jack up pricing on streaming services, driving away legitimate customers
Phase 3: legitimate customers move to less legitimate methods of obtaining media, bringing the whole damn thing full circle
Phase 4: Fake estimates of loss made by MPAA now skew more towards reality
Phase 5: kick people of the internet
Phase 6: Profit...wait, wtf!!
"What's next, people can watch first run movies from their TV the night the damn movies are released? Would that make you happy, just cutting out theaters all together?"
Yes, this would make me happy. In a capitalist society, is that not what is important?
And here you have uncovered the REAL problem with the interwebs...before these tubes came along, it was easier for us to pretend that people couldn't possibly be this retarded. Now, unfortunately we can't get away from 'THE STUPID'. Each passing day brings more of 'THE STUPID' and leaves me more and more afraid that there are no intelligent beings left on this planet.
Just let old school media die the inevitable death. If they cannot innovate, then they go under like any other business. All the blustering and nostalgic statements about 'the good old days' mean nothing to us. Let these dinosaurs die so we can move on.
I use Ubuntu at home and carry my IPod between home and work, where I am forced to use Windows. At home, Amarok works fantastic with my IPod and Amazon has DRM free MP3 downloads.
Re:
I cut the cord years ago. I can rent episodes of The Walking Dead legally on Amazon...

Did we break Mr. Rubio's website

I wonder why these douchebags felt they needed to disable commenting on Youtube. Oh wait, I know, because it is all BULLSHIT.

White House petition process appears to be a waste of time

Re: Okay
I saw this episode. Isn't this the part where they cordon off an area in the middle of the city and turn a blind eye to the dealers in that area?
just let it die
