  Christo fascists: How dare you try to make laws that force platforms to police or tell how they deal with hate speech, disinformation,etc! (Which could lead to actually helping some kids) Also Christo Fascists: the entire internet must follow whatever arbitrary, bigoted, censorus rules we make up and be policed as such! Wish these people would just fuck off already. Don't like social media? You have the right to parent how you like including more control than ever compared to "25 years ago" as to what your kids have access to. You actually have to fucking put in the work and be an actual parent though. The Internet is the 90s/early 00s was a lot worse than they seem to think. That's just my experience from being a kid at the time with parents who were not tech savvy. And there is no excuse anymore for modern parents born after 1980 to not know how to police your kid's internet usage. Don't like porn? Then don't watch porn. But we all know straight Christo fascist fucks love porn. Same with everything else. Like if you think being gay or trans is an affront to whatever mythological being you believe in. Then don't be that and shut the fuck up. It doesn't affect you it's not your life. I used to have the same arguments with my super religious brother. They are so thoroughly brainwashed. And in fact yesterday, after being assaulted by reciting bible verses by someone whom we had to explain we have to follow the law and especially HIPAA when it comes to disclosing information to even people themselves if they don't have any form of government identification. I had to say "HEY, just to be clear. The BIBLE is not the law!" Fuckin hell.

  Don't worry much like Apartheid Jimmy I'm sure if China or India or Turkey or Russia or some other authoritarian country asked they would gladly bend over and ask for more. Imagine what would happen to any small time person who committed a crime and was ordered to pay a fine but refused and said "I'll just move away then". They would be immediately thrown in jail. End corporate citizenship if they don't have the same consequences of breaking the law as the rest of us.

  What hope do we have without organized resistance? Think they will just give up when enough "paid" protesters show up? It will be their cue to fire on the unarmed masses.   Thank you for that list I've been wondering for a while now but which Bible to actually get that would be relevant to modern language I haven't read one in decades but I've been wanting to brush up so I can better understand people's hypocrisy about jesus's teachings. To be clear I grew up going to Christian church but I am not religious or identify as Christian if anything I am closer to being an atheist and am opposed to most organized religion but they should all have the same rights and not a single one of them should be pushed to some level of theocracy.

  FEMA isn't even the only field where there have been mass exoduses of people who WANT to help but spent the last half decade being abused by bigots and conspiracy theorists. And find that cost to help a cost not worth paying when it destroys your mental health because you fear for your own safety or the safety of you family. It doesn't matter how much fact checking you do to a certain crowd of people. They refuse to accept anything and continue harassing and causing real harm to other people. And our answer has literally been "well it's not a crime, we can't do anything. You just have to accept it unless someone actually tries to steal or physically harm you." Working in the front line of the medical field , the pandemic was brutal living in a conservative majority area. And I guarantee I didn't even see the absolute worst of it. And there have been people leaving all areas of the field in droves. I mean considering we can't even do anything about making it harder to walk into a store and walk out within 72 hours with an AR-15 that is used to murder people and young kids it's really not surprising. Of course the answer is literally everyone should just be armed at all times 24/7 and use their 2a rights to protect their own 1a right to not accept the bigots 1a speech like Elon suggested at that rally! (/S if not obvious)

  "The idea that someone receiving a tattoo, creative endeavor though it may be, might suddenly lose some rights over the depiction of their own image and likeness is absurd. Absurd and, frankly, very problematic when it comes to what is essentially a play at ownership over a portion of a person’s body." So it's ok for copyright to extend to one form of art but not this one? You can't reproduce copyrighted material you pay for like an art print, a photograph, a video game or movie you buy, but reproducing someone's copyrighted art on someone's body just because it happens to be attached to them is ok? Someone getting a perpetual license to display someone's art on their body means the artist doesn't get the same copyright protection as our corporate overlords? It's one thing if that art is simply being present in real life as the natural process of living or say broadcasting a game on TV. But taking that person and then recreating them digitally for your own profit and paying that person for their likeness for their profit is a different story IMO. There's a distinction between tattoos that are just generic commonly used symbols or fair use transformations of existing works and wholy original creations. I am sure I will be disagreed with, but reality seems this way to me when courts award things like piracy a single song with hundreds of thousands of dollars in damages per abuse.

  I fail to see how stealing someone's likeness to spread disinformation is somehow protected speech by just labeling it as "parody". It's also not even remotely like a political cartoon. Not a damn single person would mistake an actual parody played out by actors or drawings as the real person saying those things. The same cannot be said about convincing deep fakes tailor made to steal someone's exact likeness in looks and voice. Especially when the right-wing o sphere is constantly claiming anything and everything to their disliking is made by AI when they are the ones actually doing it. And the answer is more speech? Seriously? With so many easily convinced idiots who believe anything Mush and Orangeman spew or send their way and any "speech" to show that it's false with facts, chains of evidence just gets dismissed as "fake news" or a "conspiracy"? Does no one remember all the Elon Musk Twitter parodies and how that went when "parody is now allowed" came back? Do you think if someone made a convincing deep fake about Musk without labeling it as parody and passing it around Twitter would go without being banned or turned around in the same way? People are already using AI deep fakes the world over to scam and deceive people and we are just supposed to roll over and say "nah this is ok, it is protected expression to simply steal someone's likeness and claim it's parody or whatever justification" I think there is a fine line we can't cross and allowing this is it. Stealing someone's likeness to the point of being indistinguishable should not be protected speech. It's not a cartoon.
