    Twitter is a private company and can do as it wants. But that does not hinder people from pointing out the potential pitfalls of those decisions.
    Of course it doesn't. But when anyone here has pointed out the pitfalls of the current pre-Musk Twitter censorship regime on society, we've been consistently met with a resounding chorus of “It’s a private company, they can do whatever they want.” Just when I was just getting into the spirit of things, highlighting pitfalls suddenly becomes a good thing.

    Umm... no. The Court in Bantam found that the government's actions violated the 14th Amendment, not the 1st Amendment.

    No, what's irrational is your constant and unending presumption that we're required to defend anything here just because you say so. You keep claiming we have an "inability to defend an issue being discussed" as if defending this news station is somehow our responsibility and designated role here. Let me say it slow for the cheap seats: Regardless of your perceptions of my "abilities", I have never attempted to defend KOMO and I have no desire to defend KOMO. KOMO's position is not my own. I am not their designated spokesman on this forum.

    The proper response to this would be just to have an intern hose off the sidewalk every time these idiots chalked it up. And if the idiots got frustrated that their 'art' had a half-life of 10 seconds and decided to use something more permanent, like paint, then they could be legitimately arrested for vandalizing government property. No 1st Amendment issue with any of it; nothing for the 9th Circuit to bother with.
