Advertising Revenues Way Down. Why Not Stop Free

advertising for ones products? Talk about putting your shoes on the wrong feet. Its just another case of lets do it because we can. Even if it doesn't make any sense we can do it so we will. Jeez Louise when I worked I had it all wrong. If I had come up with enough idiotic ideas like this one I could have made a really great living.

Maybe Big Pharma Should Work On a Treatment For

Tin Ear. Its clear to me its the leading malady among Drug Company Executives and many of our elected Legislators. Hey folks since you don't get what we are trying to do it is bring down the cost of medical care not raise all the prices. I know how badly that you all want vanity licence plates that read. IF I CAN'T TAKE IT WITH ME I'M NOT GOING. Let me give you a flash. Your all going and you can't take it with you. How about giving us a break. Especially since the American Taxpayer pays for a hell of a lot of the research that you do and give you generous tax breaks for all your annoying advertising. Oh and just one more thing. Pay the highest prices in the Universe for what you produce if we can afford it.

There's The Right Way. There's The Wrong Way.

There's the Military way. There's an old expression in the Military. Designed by geniuses to be operated by idiots. Our Legislators can pass all all the legislation they can think of to solve this problem. The only real solution will be a technological one.

Not Only Haven't I Seen This Video

but I Haven't even looked for it. A Colony of Space Aliens seen from one of our high powered telescopes going through their daily routines. Yeah this would peak my interest but a video of some naked sportscaster. EH, so what. For anyone who hasen't figured this out yet, basicly we have two body types on this planet. One of the two each of us has. For most of us we have already seen the other one.

  • Is The Connected World Killing Predictive Modeling?

Predictive Modeling For Me When I Worked

was always something that I did on the back of an envelope and I was pretty good at it. I once set up a company's whole Holiday Season ordering in six and a half hours in a bar with nothing but a few stacks of catalogs and a calculator. It worked out almost prefectly. This was before the age of computers that did things like Predictive Modeling. I wish that I had a tool like this program at the time. I am sure that It would have helped me. Now that I'm a retired old codger I will only pass along this thought to any younger folks that use a tool like this for what ever purpose. The person or persons that designed and or set up this program may have done it in a bar and spent a lot longer than the six and a half hours that I spent there.

It's The Cry Baby Syndrome Gone Wild

Just find a loophole and sue. I can understand Warner's Music position but some things are just better left alone. This video is one of them. I believe that the Lawyers at Warner Music have way too much time on their hands. Maybe its time for Warner to consider how much that they are paying for legal advice.

Where Does One Draw The Line?

This is a very complicated field of law. Also its very labor intensive. It is also prone to endless appeals. As important a field as it is if I were a lawyer I would pick something else. Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury are these the legs of a murderesses?

    Interesting Study But

I believe domestic voilence and homicide will more closly track economic trends. Lets face it even the most depressed people get a little queasy about doing themselves in. I believe its much more likley that they attempt to do in the party or party's responsible either real or perceived first before they think about finishing themselves off.

    In Search Of Excellence

Many years ago I read a book by this title. It dealt with creative practices that large company's employed in relating to it employey's. One story told the story of the author asking the head of the company where the time clocks are?The head of the company said we don't have any time clocks. The auther asked how do you know if people are on time or not? The company's head said everyone comes in on time all the time but if they don't we speak with them. I think if everyone is doing their jobs well a little down time is ok. I must say though I was involved in businesses for almost four decades there are always people that will abuse the privlidges that they are given. When this would happen we would speak with them about this. Usually we were able to work it out.

  • What Does Radical Transparency In Government Look Like?

    Bradley Stewart ( profile ), 10 Jul, 2009 @ 06:25am

I Really Believe The Obama Administration

is trying to foster a culture of transparency. Here is the problem. When he thinks about large culture changing issues that will affect nearly everyone in this country for him to carve out his positions in stone do nothing more than make him and his policy's a stationary target. All the special interest groups move in and here come all the adds telling everyone how awfull things will be if his policy's are adopted. I'm not saying that some of the things that his opposition is saying does not have some validity its just why should Obama lead with his chin.

  • Does The US Government Really Need 'Wider Latitude' To Monitor Private Networks?

    Government's Are Always Snooping Around

if we like it or not. I think that the thing that government doesn't get is if it is looking for some sort of attack it will probably come in the form of a message somewhere and somewhat like this. Hi, how is Mary? and will you two be having dinner with us this Friday night. I don't care what sort of software it has how will they catch something like this.

  • Redlight Cameras In Kansas City Are Too Successful

    Smile Your On Candid Camera

When one thinks about cameras in public we haven't even scratched the surface yet. How about attaching microphones to these things. We could start ticketing people for talking to loud or chewing their food at an unacceptable decible level. Say how about ticketing people for the way that they dress. How about a fifty dollar ticket for an untucked shirt. Here would be a popular one. Staring at disabled people. How about three dollars a second. Yes when we put our minds to it there is no end to how many ways our government can justify picking our pockets. I guess this is what Politicans mean when they say thinking outside the box. And while I'm at it I'm sure that they can figure a way and justify it to ticket it for us carrying a box. Lets not forget the original purpose that this started in the first place. Remember, finding all those terrorists hiding behind every tree, under all our beds, and in our home closets.

  • Palin Threats To News Organizations Seem Misguided

John McCain Winner Of the First Bob Dole Lifetime

achievement award. What was he thinking? From the first time I heard Sara Palin speak it was clear to me that not only did she know nothing about National History and or Poitics not even to speak of Iternational Politics and History but she had no interest in these things. Since McCain won the Republician nomination and picked this woman I have had to line my mouth with fly paper because my jaw dropped so far I have not been able to close my mouth to this day.

  • Forget Video Games, Why Aren't Politicians Complaining About Chess?

No Politicians Don't Think That We Just Fell

off a Turnup truck. They think we are too dumb to climb on one to fall off in the first place. Sure we are over weight and lazy. Were Americans. Were supposed to be out of shape and lazy. Sure we smoke, eat, and drink too much. Were Americans. Were supposed to. Its part of our National Character. Hey I spend 95% of my television viewing time watching C-Span 1,2, and 3. I see these folks all the time. I don't see many of these folks looking like profesional athletes with a 7% body fat composition. Was that a Lunar Eclypse, or were you just standing in front of the Sun? Was that a 9.4 Earthquake or did you just fall off your chair? Well you get the idea. Lets just stop blaming our own bad habits on things that have little or no relation to them or no matter how much Politicians want us to change our habits like playing video games we won't stop.

I'm Know Expert On Tax Law

but I have to say that things have gotten way out of hand as far as taxes are going. Not very long ago I watched a story on television about a daughter following her father's car home in her car. Something wrong and she wound up rear ending her father. Aside from the expense of the auto repairs and the probability of an insurance increase some time later one of the two of them received a ticket from the State. As I recall it was for 237 dollars. thats right. 237 dollars. What you might ask for? It was a Crash Tax.

Why Don't They Just Come To All Our Homes,Turn Us

upside down and shake out all our pockets. I can understand that there are people who spend 24 hours a day downloading. Perhaps these people should be charged more than some eighty year old grandmother in the middle of a desert somewhere who all she does is download a few pictures of her grand children once and a while. But a meter? Why not just set up a simple monthly service plan system?

  • How Difficult Is It To Post A Bill On The White House Website For Five Days?

    Bradley Stewart ( profile ), 24 Jun, 2009 @ 02:14am

Lack of concern or just good Political sense?

Though Obama did promise to post bills well ahead of time to give everyone a shot to take a look at them and comment before voting on them there are real problems aside from the good that can come out of this for him. If he does this the bills become stationary targets for his opposition. This means a whole spate of negitive advertising campaignes from his opposition. What a headach! Assuming if this is true its pretty tough for him to say this. On the other hand perhaps he should come up with a better line than my dog ate my homework assignment.

What are all these people afraid of?

A friend of mine who buys and sells like a high quality Sanford and Son once told me a story. He said that he went to what is called a box sale. He was speaking with the broker in charge of the sale. He told the broker that he would take this and this and this but he didn't like this and that and he was not interested in purchasing these items. The broker said to him no you don't understand. He said what do you mean? The broker said this is a box sale. You can't choose. You have to take the good with the bad. This is the good. This is the bad. Folks the Internet is a box sale.
