    and you suggest what? As a company owner I resent your statement... you act like i won a lottery to own a company and owe the people that work for me something other than a fair wage (which in my company means a portion of the profit, but we all feast or starve together). YOU seem to miss I am the first in and last out daily (and missing time with my family), i skip vacations with the family, and provide jobs... I am by no means rich but you make it sound like a slave driver owning slaves... they produce a work-product, i have found a way to tie their products together to form a final product... we sell the final product and everyone gets a pay check.. so take your worker/rich envy and shovel it somewhere else... it smells like the manure the rest of the hacks and ideological idiots in government spew... people like you do not understand work or work ethic or anything else that makes the economy work and provides people with food, homes, clothes, tvs, and all the other things people need to live...

    No it doesn't, the "government" has always tried to legislate morality (drinking bans,gay bans, gambling, prostitutes) So now they are making the Internet a "HAPPY HAPPY FUN LAND OF SAFETY" and paying back their "friends" (the record labels) for more "donations"..... take the money out of their hands and bang so much for 60% of this stupid shit... until they try to build more "empires" of bureaucracy...

    Sorry, but the sales of Plastic discs have gone down... not the music industry (who's own numbers prove that time and time again, but hey why let a straw-man get in the way of facts)... I don't buy inflated pieces of plastic, sorry, no reason too, my Ipad carries a library, my phone carries more than i need too... so why lug a suitcase when i can pocket my phone...

    hell go to a libertarian meeting, we fight all the time about specifics and the whole point is live and let live (you should see what happens when abortion or some such comes up, scary).... But i think that is the point too, we as a nation have moved from disagreement to "OK I dont like this and want a law to stop it" It really started with the drinking ban, and has gone down hill... IMO Governments job would be to step in and stop this "pass a law, cause we don't like something" movement... but right now they need a law to do it and face it: run for office (which i have done a time or 2) you need something specific for each group you courting to get money (my stand on a live/let live was very popular but didn't bring much cash for all the things you need in a campaign)...


    Over all i have to agree with Chris on this one...

    And does it surprise anyone this happens with how copyright has been twisted to protect the labels and not the artist....IF copyright was really really about the artist, then George Clinton (for the sake of all that is good and holy, FUNK-incarnate) says no problem, and some faceless, dirt dealer is suing everyone for something the Bridgeport had no hand in... but the ARTIST who made it and did everything is left back... Defend it you damn maximist defend your stance we are the thieves yet here the ARTIST is screwed not by his fans, but by twisting and turning copyright law.... show me how this "Promotes" anything but theft by YOU.. how this "Helps" the artist...

    I believe the statement, by making it out of old vinyl records, was that the "music/records" are the foundation that created the image that was Run DMC...

    My thoughts 1) is a photo of a band, the other is art work used to show how the music made the image... the photo is just snapshot/capture of a moment in time, some are beautiful, others are gruesome (Jefferson Memorial), but photo's (IMO) do not make a statement, some one taking some (paint, records, concrete, wood, iron, stone) make the piece a specific way as part of the expresion they are trying make over all (be it babies or rappers).
