Network Solutions Monopoly Tough to Crack?

from the the-dot-monopoloy-dot-com-people dept

Prudential Securities apparently believes that there is not much of a threat to Network Solution’s monopoly on domain name registrations. The report seems to focus on the fact that technical issues will delay competition, and that no “big” players will enter the market until they see what happens. While this might be true, I think there is a big opportunity for someone to go after Network Solutions. There is a fairly large amount of dissatisfaction with Network Solutions and their method of handling just about every thing. I think people would run to a competing registrar that provided better service.
