Here Come the Robots
from the run-for-your-lives... dept
Who needs humans any more? Now we have robots that can design and build other robots. I like how humans still have to snap in the motors, though. At least there will be menial tasks left for us dumb humans when the robots rule the earth.

This issue received even more ink today (31st) in various mainstream and tech based sites. Some interesting things I drew from this topic were the mentions of technology limiting the fear of sudden and uncontrollable rampant construction of robots. However I think back 10 years when i was playing robosport on my 2400 modem and i wonder how long technology will be limiting in this matter. As if the explosion of home computers, then the explosion of the internet, and now of high speed internet isn’t enough to warn of the potential speed technology can move at, i wonder what these people in charge of these robotic projects think when they make this claim.

I’m looking forward to becoming one of them so that I can be a virtual immortal. Of course it’ll be in stages, first a cyborg and then a totally robotic humanoid (transfering my neuronal patterns eventually). Pretty cool, eh (if we all live long enough)?
