from the spread-it-out dept
We’ve got a another cross-post episode for you this week, on a subject near and dear to our hearts: protocols over platforms, and restoring decentralization online. Mike recently joined Danny O’Brien on the DWeb Decoded podcast to talk all about these topics, as well as tell a little story about Danny’s role in the founding of Techdirt, and you can listen to the whole conversation here on this week’s episode.

Danny of Filecoin, where “Miners are incentivized to amass hard drives and put them to use by storing files.”? and provides storage to other blockchain bullshit?
Re:
Regardless of whether that is true or false, none of that web3 bullshit is discussed or even touched upon in this podcast.
Re: Re:
Danny sure sounded like he was hyping up a big paper or article about Filecoin.
Re: Re: Re:
He wasn’t. He talked about a collection of essays that I edited, which is not puffing up Filecoin. It’s about decentralization, and even includes articles critical of the whole “web3” concept.
