Hurry Up: We're Taking Down Our Takedown Gear In A Week
from the clock-is-ticking dept
Support Techdirt and get Takedown gear! Last chance this year! »
Of all the T-shirts and other gear available in our super-early holiday sale, the popular Takedown design has the longest history: it was one of the first T-shirts we produced years ago as part of an early “reason to buy” project, it was later revamped with an improved graphical design for our Insider Shop, and then this year it was revamped once again with a slightly modified look for our sales via Teespring.
And now it’s your last chance to get one in 2016! The current run ends on Monday, October 3rd — and after that we won’t be taking reservations and can’t promise when it will return, but it won’t be until next year at the earliest.
So don’t miss out and order yours today! Plus, consider picking it up now for the holidays and getting an early start on your gift-buying list — the reason we’re holding this sale so early is to give lots and lots of time before Christmas for Teespring’s sometimes-slow fulfillment. And don’t forget to check out the other gear in our super-early holiday sale.

But I thought you hated takedown notiues?
Whatever(parody)
This is just another desperate attempt for Techdirt to make money because they are poor and even though they have a large audience they can’t make any money. How are news sites supposed to survive like this!!!! Are you saying that every news site should sell T-Shirts? What do you expect them to do? I want an easy answer! Give me one!! It shouldn’t be this hard!!!
Re: Whatever(parody)
Whatever(proper)
Re: Re: Whatever(parody)
If I didn’t include the (parody) in there then the dumb idiot would complain about how he is being impersonated despite the fact it’s clearly not him but it’s someone mocking him. If you haven’t figured out yet he’s not very intelligent.
Not that there is a real difference between the parody and the real Whatever.
Re: Whatever(parody)
If Techdirt made some money for every stupid comment like yours, the website would be rich.
Re: Whatever(parody)
Nah, mate, the idiot troll that demands answers to questions he knows don’t have any is average_joe/antidirt.
Whatever’s response to T-shirts is consistently claiming he can mass-produce them and threatening to make knockoff Techdirt T-shirts… without actually doing it.
A+ for effort though.
Re: Re: Whatever(parody)
Really?
quoted by whatever
“Should they have adapted? Well, to what, exactly? Subscription model? Techdirt says no, walled gardens are bad! So where should they do? Sell lots of t-shirts? Put cameras over reporters shoulders and charge people to watch the streaming live video?”
I think the merits of my parody holds water.
Re: Re: Re: Whatever(parody)
err .. excuse the bad grammar in that.
Re: Re: Re: Whatever(parody)
To be fair, whenever Techdirt puts up posts about their merchandise offers, Whatever’s main complaint is that he can produce more shirts so the claim of “limited offer” doesn’t count. Of course, when it comes to actually making those T-shirts he says he could have to break Techdirt’s “business model”, he’s mysteriously incapable.
Either statement still makes Whatever a complete idiot and tool.
Re: Re: Re:2 Whatever(parody)
To be fair Whatever is good at opening himself up to being mocked in more than one way. Just to be fair.
Re: Re: Re:3 Whatever(parody)
It’s like he wants to be consistent at being a thorough, utter dumbfuck.
Cap
I think “NERD HARDER” would work on a cap. I’d rather that than “Make America great again”. Is there any chance of adding one to the current campaign?

a 100% cotton option.
