IT Security...
snort!
Here at corp x we have a policy that blocks cut and paste, we are so smart! lets pat ourselves on the back!
meanwhile…
a corporate employee whips out their cell phone and snaps a picture of the data they need since they cannot copy pasta it anymore.
IT Security is such a joke, that is where old professional go to die and stay relevant ONLY by political forces.
iCollege ought to take their own classes...
At first glance there are a number of significant flaws with the iCollege website. Not the least is their failure to implement HTTPS for their login process (yes, passwords and email are sent in plain text). I’m honestly surprised that TechDirt would endorse such a shoddy website, and the irony of this particular course’s focus just highlights how bad it is!

Maybe if you’d jumped on one of Techdirt/StackSocial’s many VPN deals, you wouldn’t have that problem 😉
Anyway, a website does not necessarily need to use HTTPS to send encrypted login details (whether or not that’s the case here – I’ve not checked)
Techdirt does not vet training partners
The Udemy training I paid real money for was such absolute crap, I couldn’t believe Techdirt dished it out. Read Mike’s rants. Hell, pay him money. But don’t buy any Techdirt deal, especially online training. Mike REALLY needs to correct these shady practices or it will be his undoing.
Hey Mike, if you read this, talk to Gretchen. While she’s one of the best things going for you, but she can’t turn shit into gold.

Empty complaints like this are totally worthless. If you have a reason for disliking something, please elaborate. Or don’t bother posting. Angry rants and troll posts just pollute the air for the people with legitimate grievances.

Howdy Anonymous!
I’ve been through every last stinking detail with Techdirt, StackSocial, and Udemy. You know, the folks who can actually do something? Here, in case you missed it:
The Udemy training offerings were of poor quality and not worth the money paid. Techdirt does not vet training partners.
Have a nice day!
