The Telkes Still

The Telkes Still, developed by Mária Telkes (1900–1995), was a sort of inflatable rubber pillow, with additional internal partitions. It was compact enough to fit in a pocket, like any other rubber pillow. However, when inflated and placed in the water, it became a solar still. to extract fresh water for drinking out of salt water.
