No, I Can't Hear You Now
Palm really hasn’t had a great run of things lately, as its continual inability to come up with anything substantial to follow up the Treo 600 catches up to it. Following the news earlier this week that its Treo 700wx models for Sprint somehow can’t send SMS to people on some other operators’ networks comes some more bad news for the company: apparently the contract manufacturer of its long-promised “entry-level” Treo, the 680, managed to ship 144,000 of them without bothering to connect the microphone. This latest problem is hardly Palm’s fault, but certainly does nothing to help the company at all.
