Homeless Inventor Bills Yankees For Magic World Series Winning Technology
from the seems-a-bit-late dept
A homeless inventor apparently has sent a bill to the New York Yankees, saying that his invention helped the team win the 1996 World Series. He claims that he sent the team prototypes of “a rubber tube that can be frozen and worn around the neck as a personal cooler.” According to the guy, these devices allowed the Yankees to get in extra practice time, which was all they needed to end a fifteen year World Series drought. Of course, beyond the fact that there’s no real evidence (a) that the Yankees ever used such a thing or (b) that it helped them in any way if they did, he certainly didn’t have any agreement in place with the team at the time, so it seems unlikely the team is about to pay up the $1.5 million he’s demanding, plus an additional $1 million loan (to help him start the business). It’s not clear why he waited a decade to make the claim — or what’s happened the last few years, since the Yankees haven’t won the World Series since 2000. Perhaps he’s been sending other, better inventions to other teams.

This is obvious bullshit, we all now that howard stern invented this device, he also invented sports games such as baseball. So he should obviously get the $$$$DoLo. He should also get money paid to him for all future inventions, in fact he inveted inventing things!

Not even touching on the thought of weather or not we can measure frequency patterns from our sattelites over the holidays?
Technologically speaking
There have beeen many instances of this happening. I would relate to maybe even making a better flow ratio:condenser of some sort to make fuel mileage better. There are many ideas out there that could be used by many people. In order to do something you must repeate must put it into practice at some point. There is no case though this does happen more than anyone would ever know. Ideas stolen quickly in the blink of an eye.
If my theories are correct they can even know them as you’re thinking them.

Steinbrenner complained that his players seemed to be running out of gas in the late innings, especially playing on the road in places like Texas
George Costanza said, “I’m all over it boss” and remembered an offbeat conversation he’d overheard at the lunch counter a few days before.
I hate to tell this guy...but
But these thing have been on the market for years. Here is one I use all the time; and it doesn’t have to be frozen..just dump cold water on it at any time….

I'm speechless
Now for those of you who maybe wondering how this guy figures that the Yankees owe him over a million dollars-Well I haven’t a clue!
I’m totally speechless over this post. What’s gonna be next? Well I think I can predict what’s gonna be next: A. The Yankees won’t pay him anything and B. The media will tout this guy as an innecent victim of the Yankees insenivetivity.
It’s true that the Yankees don’t owe him anything-but it’s also true that the media’s perception(whether it’s based on truth or not)is more often than not damaging. It is for this reason that the Yankees have better be careful how they deal with it.
