Not So Fast On The Tech IPOs?

from the not-everything-looks-so-rosy dept

A week ago, someone at Goldman Sachs tried to jumpstart the tech IPO market by saying now was the time for tech companies to start going public again. However, while Google obliterated most expectations, plenty of other tech company earnings are leading some to believe that the IPO window is still mostly closed for tech companies. That’s probably a good thing. Companies that actually do have solid business models can still go public, but it should keep more of the highly speculative deals from getting very far — which is a much healthier long term perspective.
