Gizmondo, Now Trying Even Harder
We’ve been pretty skeptical of Gizmondo, with pretty good reason. So it’s hardly surprising that on the eve of their US launch, they’ve cooked up a PR stunt to try and hype up the device’s GPS abilities — abilities not yet tapped by any games for the device. The company swears somebody stole one of the demo units out of their London store and they were able to recover it with the built-in GPS. Might have been a nice stunt, had it not been rather old and busted.
